Combining Fleet Incentive with Current Incentives? HELP!

Combining Fleet Incentive with Current Incentives? HELP!

I am eligible for the fleet incentive through my employer. Mercedes is also having a "dream machine event" where the are offering $3000 off a new E400.

my dealer is saying that I am not allowed to use or combine two incentives. This does not sound right to me. The fine print on the Fleet program and the "Dream machine event" doesnt say anything about it not being able to be combined.

Please advise. I hate dealers.

I had the same problem this past December. I wanted to use my USAA certificate for $4500.00 off a new S550 and combine it with the MB Winter promotion that was $4,000.00 off, but could not do it. They will only let you use one promo.

Thanks for the response. I used my fleet discount last year, and I made the mistake of telling the dealer about it at the beginning of the negotiation. They basically said that the fleet discount takes care of the negotiation, and it's better than any negotiation they were going to give me. I foolishly fell for that sales tactic.

The fleet incentive in my opinion should be handled separately from the negotiation of the vehicle sales price. It's an added savings from MB corporate, not a way for the dealer to make a higher margin.

Unfortunately, your opinion of how fleet programs and incentives should be handled is unimportant. The manufacturer establishes the programs and the rules of how they operate. If you don't like one dealer's interpretation, simply visit, call, or email another dealer.

Even though I was only able to use one incentive, I was still able to obtain a total discount of almost 12% on my ordered S550, which I felt was a very good--if not great deal. That dealer earned my business and we are due to pick up a new, ordered, 2016 E350 sedan any day now.

I just bought a new E400 over the wkend.
Dealer can only apply the $3000 MB incentive or $3500 USAA discount, so $3500 it is.
Anyways, I got price $10K off sticker with more haggling...

I'm looking at a CLS550. They are telling me that they are a "rare" car, which I think is BS. MSRP 84,500. They said $79000 is the least they will take to their manager. That's including my $3000 fleet discount. So in reality they are only giving another $2500 off at a maximum. No thanks. The ****ty part is I bought a 2014 E350 last year from them. I want to go somewhere where I can go for every Benz, establish a relationship.

There are many members here, in various parts of the country, who can recommend more competitive dealerships. In the Southern California area, I HIGHLY recommend seeing Kekoa Dapitan the sales manager at MB of Foothill Ranch. Straight shooting, competitive numbers. Tell him the guy who ran into the swarm of bees during a test drive sent you.
