Exclamation Panoramic Roof E350 2012.....WHAT DO I DO!!!!???? :(

Need major advice.....I have buyer's remorse

Location:Northern Virginia

Last week I bought a used certified 2012 E350 for about 35 all black 21800 miles. I just seen the one I really wanted just listed by a near by Benz dealer with a panoramic roof, same color and all for 38. I feel so sick right now lol. What would you recommend I do here? Please help if you can! Thank you

Can I get it installed by an auto shop or Mercedes themselves?

Should I try to return it if possible? (they said my trade in value would be like 25-27 -___- )

Should I sell to private party? I just bought a few days ago/week.

First take a deep breath.

If you really couldn't have lived without the pano, you would not have bought the car you are in now. You will get over. Believe me - I spent months after I bought my car looking at other used ones to see if they had better features or pricing. There have been one or two that made me question my decision, but not enough to do anything about it. I have a mental list of what I want on my next one but it will be years before I act on it.

Even if you could return your car, it's hard to justify $3k for just one feature. If you can justify it, then you really should consider ordering a new car where you can get everything you want.

If you read the AMG W212 E63 thread. You would be glad you DIDNT get the pano roof. The pano roof rattles.

Now driving my third E Class with a pano roof, never had any rattles or squeaks from the roof. Pano roof is a very popular feature for Canadian W212.

Why ? It lets in so much more light than the much smaller standard sun roof. Also with lighter body colours (eg. polar white, silver and palladium silver), the black pano roof provides a nice contrast, giving the car a more sporty look.

Pano roof is really nice but it's not that big of a deal...If it's going to cost you more than 1k to get pano by selling your car and getting another then I wouldn't do it.
Plus pano roof is not even going to be that noticeable on a black car.

Don't get me wrong. I love the pano roof, but it was something members mentioned. From my understanding, it only took a couple of screws to fix.

Another member brought to my attention it was something like 100 pounds of extra weight.

I was simply pointing out the member with buyers remorse about what I understand the difference between pano and none pano. Both of my W212 don't have pano and I'm ok with it

I don't really care, but I'd rather not have Pano myself. My C63 doesn't provide enough shade when closed, and saving the weight would be nice. On my E550 I miss how I could pop the moon-roof on my W211 without opening the interior sliding screen (perfect when parked), which can't be done with pano.

I say go for it if that's what you really want. **** it. Only live once. Learn from this. If you don't, you'll always regret it. You'll probably also regret it if you do it, but you'll have the car you really wanted. The pano roof is nice. My kids love it. 100 extra pounds ain't **** on a family sedan that isn't being raced.

I dont understand why people buy something......then keeps on looking. its like picking up a piece of rock and hitting your head with it! now its the pano roof, whats next? paddle shifters? then what? if youre losing sleep on it, go get it. if not. dont bother. just my 2 cents. goodluck, i think you'll need it.

Pano roof sucks IMO. They're heavy, slowly start to rattle and I've seen one or two crack. Is it really worth the trouble? First world problems... So how's your pony doing?

When you pull the trigger, it helps not to keep looking. When I buy something, I just stop looking for few months.

Sounds like you have to step back and decide what you really want. Take some time to really figure out what you really need versus what would simply be a nice to have. Take a few weeks to mull it over.

Are you really considering spending an additional ~$11-13K plus taxes and fees to get the seemingly questionable pano roof?!

(Apparently, you'll get in the neighborhood of $25-27K on trade against a $38K car.)

Don't do it!!! There is always going to be a nicer car then the one you can get here in the USA. If the only thing you gain on the new one is the pano roof that is a ton of money to waste but hey it is NOVA we love doing that
Now if you had a stock E350 and were upgrading to a top of the line e550 then that price difference might be worth it.

If it's important to you and you can afford to take the hit then do it. Personally I would be happy with the car you have and move on,
The price on that seems really high compared to what similar cars go for in my area but maybe they command that price in VA.
