2016 E Class Changes?
I have a 2014 E350 Cabriolet and am currently thinking of getting an E350 sedan.
I was looking at a 2016 E350 online and noticed that the buttons and controls in the center (radio, phone, nav) have been changed on the 2016s to a much smoother look. Are there any other changes on the 2016s? I assumed as the 2017 totally new E Class will be coming soon, that there would be no changes to the 2016s so was surprised when I saw the difference. Thanks!

I was totally unaware that there were any changes after the 2014 refresh to either the interior or exterior of the E-class for 2015-2016 besides color choices.
Do you have any links showing the changes?

If I'm not mistaken, the Parktronic package does NOT come with the 360 camera in the 2016 E350. It's only available in the 2014-2015 versions.
I'm referring to US models. Please correct me if I'm wrong. But if you go to mbusa.com and configure an E-class, it will not show 360 camera in the package.

Here is a link to one 2016 E Class for sale. Every 2016 e class I have looked at online has the same updated buttons for the infotainment controls.

Sorry, apparently I don't know how to post links correctly as they do not work when I try them. Just find a 2016 online with interior pictures. I have been looking at Autotrader and Cars.com

No they are changed. The cars I am looking at clearly say 2016 and clearly are the current body style. There are countless images of the new smoother buttons on Autotrader.com on cars presently for sale. Same layout as 14 and 15s, but a smoother flat design.
I will try another link, this time directly to a car on a dealer's web site.

Just tried the link I posted in previous message. This link works. Click through the pictures the dealer has posted of the 2016 E Class they have for sale. the last picture in the series, before the close up of the navigation screen, is a close up of the infotainment buttons. They are clearly a new flat design, different than the raised buttons on the 14 and 15s.

The 22nd picture of this 2016 for sale, also is a good close up of the new smoother buttons.

I also see that the gauges are black (which is good because I really dislike the white gauges as the entire cluster looks cheap).
The change in the radio was done before. My 2009 e class was the last year for W211 but it had the new radio used in the 2010 W212. Perhaps this is a preview to the radio in the next model.

They fitted the h/u from the CLS facelift.
Too bad they didn't do the new steering wheel design as well (not that one above, mind you).

I do not like the "Ipad glued to the dash"; build it in or don't have it. It looks like an after thought in the design studio. The new C250 is like this and I had one as a loaner. Every time I got in the C250 I thought "this dash is a dorky after thought."

Agreed! The "iPad glued to the dash" look completely ruins the interior. If they're going to redesign the interior, then do it right. Integrate the LCD screen properly. You have to wonder if they actually bothered to test this new, pasted on look to get customer feedback before going into production.

Agreed and agreed.
I don't like the look of these newer, flatter, cheaper-looking buttons.
And I HATE the look of the screen attached to the dash that a number of German automakers are using (eg. - BMW X5).
