Is the wood in the E-class real or artificial?
Sorry if this has been posted but I just wanted to be sure.
Is the wood in the E-class real? I was recently in an Acura MDX and I believe they use fake wood. So I just wanted to ask here.
Thank you in advance
edit: typo in title, or*

As munich77 said, real but not solid =D as the old 600 from the 70s. THat was solid friggin tree material there partner. Now its a slab on top of some fitting with a veneer.
Still nice though, compared to other brands. less shiny then asian wood

So true - but even on my parents 1963 280 SE 3.5 the wood was veneer - albeit on wood. I remember because my Dad replaced the wood with a piece he ordered in Germany.

Impact standards require that the trim can deform in the event of an accident. This is why the wood trim has a soft(er) metal backing.
