Maybe
Isn't there a cable in the glove box for connecting a USB or maybe you have to purchase one to plug in to the socket in the glove box? My 2010 came with a cable to hook things to and a little shelf for them to lie on. Cable for a USB was optional if I remember correctly.
Never used anything, but I do recall that there is an A/C vent in the glove box that you have to keep open in summer so it does not overheat.

IIRC the USB port built-in started in the 2012 w212 with comand 4.5. Some late model 2011 (July 2011 builds) have it. Otherwise, you can get the media interface cable for the glove box that El Cid mentions. That should give you the same connectivity.

Hi guys I know this is an old feed but hoping to reopen it! I also have a 2012 Mercedes C250 with the AUX and USB port inside the console. The USB port will not charge my iPhone 5 or iPhone 6. I brought it to be dealer and they told me it's only for data & is not meant to charge. I've seen other people with the same model who say it does charge their phones so I find it hard to believe that's the case with my car. my thought is maybe it's a weak or blown fuse. Anyone know where the fuse for this is? I don't have the fuse diagram and can't seem to find it online. Also, has anyone had luck with a specific type of cable only? Perhaps it's my cable.

No USB or socket
Hi guys,
i have just recently bought a 2010 350CDI and I can’t find the socket or USB in the glove box or center console. I believe not every car comes with the socket. Am I right ?

Right. With huge variety of MB models, you can't take any option for granted.
I have 2 MB models from 2014 year. 1 has USB and multi-function in central console, the other only USB.
Same in the past had 2 of 1998 E300DT cars.
One had rain sensor, the other not. One had climatronic display in metric system, the other in SAE.
