No Sunroof on Sedan, was/is it Possible?
Been looking at the new E class and I am wondering, was (or is it) possible to order the sedan without a sunroof? It seems to be standard now. I was able to get no sunroof on my 2006 E320 and it affords me some much needed headrooom.
The showroom cars that I have sat in have all had the sunroof. My wife has pointed out to me that my head actually sticks out of the roof. She thinks that it is quite funny. But it will be a problem for me when it is time to get a new car.

Only 6'4", but with 2 collapsed discs in my spine I have to sit upright. Leaning the seat back until I clear is not an option. My current E with no sunroof seemed to be a unicorn when I found it so I grabbed it.

ive seen a W212 without a sunroof when I was on the hunt for one. very rare indeed. best bet would be to call your local dealer and ask if possible to order the 213 without sunroof.

^^^ I could see a sunroof/pano not being popular with the Australian sun beating down. I think in the USA it's been a while since sunroof delete was an option.

Ouch, sorry! I'm 6'-3" and these E class cars fit me really well. I even have the seat moved forward quite a bit. You should be able to find one without a sunroof I would hope.

It's certainly possible, the real question is whether you can find (or order) one without a sunroof in your market. I just returned from a few weeks in Germany. About half the taxis are now w212 sedans and wagons. None of them have a sunroof. Plenty of "classic" (the low line) trim level w212 cars on the road as well; very few of them have a sunrooof.
So the real problem is that it's standard equipment in your market (same here in the USA). It may be possible to special order without it. If your dealer can't help, perhaps a call to the national headquarters customer service line would be illuminating.
