2014 E350 Sport Sedan
I'm A New Owner, new discoveries every day! :)
I'm new to the Mercedes auto world, I just purchased a used off corporate lease car, its a 2014 E350 Sport Sedan, bells and whistles, 43K miles, I'll learn the packages and groups as I go.
I've learned from the past that brand specific forums are a wealth of information. I'm sure there are a lot of tips and tricks to learn, and pitfalls to avoid from reading the forum. As any forum, read, read and then read some more, and the answers are usually there already.
I don't mind getting my hands dirty and as long as it doesn't get to deep or technical I'm good!

Congratulations. Take the Operator's Manual and the COMAND Manual and study them in detail. Highlight specific parts and maybe even make notes on paper to place in your car for quick reference.
You really have to read the manuals in detail because some items are discussed in different sections. Remember they were orginally written in German by German engineers and then translated into English. Or at least, the foundations of the manuals were.
There is a lot of information on this site, but much of it is buried in the past. Use the search function here.
Also, check out the 2nd and 3rd threads for potential service or problem areas.

Congrats. A function I find useful for SoCal stop and go traffic. Double tap your brake when coming to a red light and once you see the HOLD light on your instrument cluster, you can let go your brake and hit the gas when your ready to go.

Vin # Information
How does one find out the build sheet info from the vin# for bulletins and Services needed and what is OEM options and packages on the car, have the Dealer run it? 
The vin decoder works for the most part but doesn't give specifics.
