Any High Mileage W212's Out There?
Issues so far...
-rear window screen, 25,000 miles
-fuel quality sensor, 81,000 miles
-engine and transmission mounts, 83,000 miles
-right side running lamp out, 83,000 mile (not fixed)
This seems like a lot of issues at less than 85k...

Well I'm at 190k now after 6 years. No issues at all, I just keep changing the oil every 10k miles. Replaced the spark plugs at 130k and finally needed new front pads and rotors at 175k miles.
I now have an intermittent leak in the air suspension which sometimes sags but most of the times it doesn't. I'm reluctant to change anything until it becomes predictable and reproducible. I'll probably replace the shocks and struts at the same time.
Last weekend I finally replaced the front 360 surround camera that had a cracked lens for a few years from a rock. It finally got foggy enough that I had to do it. Had the part on my desk for a few years, bought it on eBay for $200.
The interior is still immaculate, no tears in the premium leather, the massage seat is still working great, the Distronic Plus is as amazing today as it was 6 years ago and I will never buy another car without it.
Bought a new daily driver, a Golf R 6MT, so my annual mileage on the Benz will probably drop to a more reasonable 15k from the 30k that it's been seeing. The adaptive cruise with manual on this car works amazingly well and while it's a whole different car I love both equally for different reasons.
To repair a DRL you'll have to replace the entire light assembly, but I'm sure you know that.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Picked up CPO with 50K
55K Cup holder door jammed itself up (not sure how, didn't get any coins or anything stuck in there). Dealer broke it trying to unjam it and replaced it under CPO warranty.
70-80K A repeated problem with some plastic fuel tank connection under the rear seat. It cracked 3 times and when the tank was full would fill the car with fumes. Every time it would go to the dealer, and every time about 3 months later it would be back for the same problem. The most recent repair however has stuck and it has been 3 years, so it is finally fixed. All done under CPO warranty
80K The 2 alum trim pieces on my steering wheel started to peel at the corners and they were sharp. Replaced with eBay plastic replacement pieces that actually look and feel better with a nice satin finish. All of like $6.
103K Driver power door lock button replaced, worked find but the black plastic that covers the button was starting to flake at the edges and looked bad.
105K Trans mount before it became a problem and some EGR top end bit that was throwing a code for minor leak, both were cheap fixes at my local benz guy Benz Works in Huntington Beach
113K Idler pulley noise...eBay for $25, easy self fix.
115K left panel of the driver seat bottom leatherette finally started to crack. Local upholstery guy replaced the panel for $150, seat in car, looks like new.
My car eats batteries, every 18 months or so, no matter how I drive, maintain the battery...it just kills batteries but luckily Bosch is usually on sale at the local Pepboys and I get prorated or free replacements. Just a bit of a hassle.
All in all I have about $600-$650 in repairs since getting it used about 5 years ago.
Keep it washed, waxed and garaged, fix every tiny thing as it happens...still looks and drives showroom new and the best part, pink in hand, no payments.

It had 975,000km on the odo, I should have taken a picture.
It was a diesel model, the driver said the transmission was replaced but other than that not a lot of things went wrong with it.
It looked incredible for the mileage, the passenger seat was just a bit worn but otherwise was in great condition in and out, granted there is no snow or bad weather in Singapore.

maintenance wise, all of it and then some. Replaced the motor and transmission mount a couple months ago as a more precautionary requirement of mine, they were due but not broken. Flushed transmission fluid, brake fluid, rear differential, etc.
Overall, I’m quite happy with my car. Nothing like a heavy Benz that just effortlessly scoots on down the road to make you feel good about life sometimes. I think I might be a Benz guy for life now. I want a car that give me that something special feeling every time I look at it, drive it, sit in it. If it has that feeling, then I’m fine with spending money to fix it when it’s needed as I want to keep it looong term. This is why we’re waiting and saving up to replace our 2013 Highlander for a new GLS450 hopefully next year. Told my wife I’m ok with spending that kind of money if it’s for something that we both truly love, and is built to last. With those two ingredients, spending $5,000 - $7,000 over a 15 year period on repairs is good with me (instead of buying another new car again).

I don't want to go down that same road and buy warped rotors when I replace mine.
What did you learn? Is there another brand other than genuine that's better (more reliable)?

So far I have replaced:
- oil and filter every 10k miles
- spark plugs 2x, once at 120k, once at 180k
- air filter every 30k or so
- front rotors and pads, one time around 160k
- rear air shocks, they were slowly leaking
- rear drive propeller shaft, the CV joint on it fell apart, replaced it just before it would have caused permanent damage to the car. This is a known weak point but who can complain after 180k miles?
Overall I'm extremely impressed in how little maintenance this car required and how well it runs still. I had a brand new Mazda CX-5 as a rental on my last trip and when I came home I couldn't believe just how much nicer my E-wagon was with 210k+ on the odo.
When I first bought it about 2.5 years ago, I also replaced the front sway bar because it had broken free from the bushings and was creaking pretty bad. Overall I've been very impressed with how little it's needed once I got the stage 0 done after buying. Other than motor mounts and having to buy a whole new sway bar ($$$) instead of just new bushings, it's all been standard fare for car care.

-one of the idle pulleys (i dont know what exactley they are called) broke while driving down the highway which led to ripping the belt.(if you hear a whispering noise from the engine thats a sign of a bad pully) sadly learned the hard way.
-auxiliary battery malfunctioned at around 120k
-TPMS (right back side) went out at 210k
-speakers started to go bad at around 160k ( not a big deal for me)
-lane keep assist stopped working at around 140k (it started working now for some reason)
-flash headlights stopped working (if i need to alert someone i use the high beams)
-tail lights stopped working which is common on the facelift (brake lights are fine)
Excuse my bad english but thst is as far as i can remember for the major issues.
- oil is changed every 9,000 kms ( due to leaving the engine idling for quite a while.
-spark plugs every 90k
-belt every 100k (pulleys also if needed)
-Air filter 30-40k
-cabin filter around 60k
otherwise the m276 engine is quite reliable if you take good care of the maintenance.
