Post pictures of your tinted windows...

I'm getting my windows tinted soon and trying to decide how dark to go.

Can you guys post pictures if your windows are tinted and list the % you went with? I'm thinking 20-35...

Thanks!

20%. In my opinion, applying tint is similar to buying a tv. If you buy a "smaller" tv, you will wish you had gone a little bigger. Likewise, if you go "lighter" with the tint, you will wish you had gone darker.

This is also 20%. I've had 35% on other cars before, and recommend 20%.

Just to clarify, when you say 35% all around do you mean the windshield as well?

nope...side and back windows. So I guess not all around but you know what I mean lol Personally, i would never tint my windshield as i don't want to mess with visibility in anyway. 35% seems to keep cops away but is also dark enough for privacy and looks imo

I wasn't sure just because your 35% photo looked pretty dark so I thought maybe you did the windshield too.

This is the only recent pic I can find showing the tint at 35%. It looks a bit darker here with the sunshield in the front window and the rear shade is up too - with black interior.

I had my E350 tinted at Lokey MB in Clearwater, Fl. I don't know what % they used, but it was tinted as dark as legally possible. This is how I've always done my cars... It works for me. Good luck!<br/>

My GLK was tinted the same way and at the same place as my E. I'd go as dark as legally possible. You'll notice no issues at night and significantly less glare and other sun issues during the day. In addition, it will protect the interior especially the area beneath the rear window from the suns rays.

I have 20% tint all around but my pano roof makes it look a lil lighter like 25-30% shade.

I've been told that mines are 15% but I think they could be 10%. I love them and people have a hard time seeing in them especially at night. I consider myself a person with great vision so I can see out of them at night when driving but need to always be a little cautious. However a person who has so - so eyesight would have a hard time seeing out of them at night effectively. The windows came like this when I bought the car and it's all around but not on front windshield. Pano is lighter then the windows.

Mine is same as this, or should be. Legal limit in FL is 15% rear, 30% front 2 windows.

I have 20% all around and 55% on the windshield. Do the speed limit and signal like you're supposed to and cops won't bother you (or won't have another reason to pull you over, at least). I did the windshield because I had 20% on an old car and in the dark or rain the glare coming in from the front window would make it hard to see out the sides, but I haven't had any issues with this. I think it has something to do with lessening the contrast between tint/no-tint, plus the anti-glare properties of the tint film. I also keep the rear sunshade up and have the black interior. Very rarely do my auto-dimming mirrors do anything lol

Here's mine - legal limit on front windows - believe 35% and 20% on back windows. Also had the sunroof tinted with 20% on top of the factory tint - made a big difference during sunny days!

I was told a while back when I had a 2001 Pathfinder with no tint in the sunroof glass, that I could not have the sunroof tinted because the extra heat build-up, then subsequent cooling from a rain shower would shatter the glass. The tint guy refused to do it.

You would DEFINITELY get pulled over around here with that windshield. I have friends that have done it too without issues, but looks very dark in that pic.

I'm happy with legal limits, and I just figure why give any added reason for the law to give me a second look.

I absolutely love the pano even at night time. 2 of my last 3 DD had one and my Murano (wife's DD) has one as well. I don't think I can ever have another DD without it. If it's an extra or hers to drive I won't sweat it as much.

That picture was taken on a very sunny day, so it would look extremely dark with the ambient lighting. From different angles (i.e. oncoming traffic), you can still see inside fairly clearly (about 45% less clear... lol) but with the other windows significantly darker, it's not as noticeable. I do get double-takes from some cops, but they're usually too busy typing on their laptops while driving to pay me much attention. I also drive with the windows down a lot. My car blends in a bit more than the STIs and Civics that have the same tint, so the cops usually go after them before me. Worst case, it's a fix-it ticket and not a big deal.

Heres mine...both cars have 5% rear and 20% side windows, wish were allowed to tint the windscreen down here. Both cars also have black interiors.

Here's my previous car with 35% all around. Top pic taken on a semi sunny day and the bottom taken just before a bad storm.

Thank you everyone! Looks like i'm going to go with 20% or 30%... not sure yet. Maybe 20% on the rear windows and 30% on the fronts.
