what's the stock offset for 2012 W212 4matic?
My 2012 E350 came with stock 18" AMG wheels and I'm trying to find out what the offset is I'm running right now with these?
Eventually, I'm looking to get 19s this coming spring. The size of the new wheels I'm considering is 19x8.5 with 40mm offset...can I run this size both front and rear?? My car is 4matic so I want to make sure I clear any mechanisms. I'm not interested in a staggered set up.
Sorry for creating another wheel thread but there seems to be nobody on the tires and wheels technical forum. lol The search option was so overwhelming as there is a million wheel/tire threads...I know I know I'm contributing to the problem
Thanks for the help!

I've also been pondering different wheel setups on the same car. Stock is 18x8 with 48 offset. I also am leaning towards a 19" square setup (maybe spacers on the rear). I've seen pics of 19x8.5 with 45 offset and they look perfect. Et40 might poke out a bit too much for me, especially in the front. Probably not to the point of fender rubbing unless you lower it, bUT maybe someone with experience will chime in. No issues on back spacing.

If you want a bit more aggressive specs, I highly recommend 19x9 30-35mm front and 19x10 40et in the back. Will make the w212 look more masculine.

Ed...so if I get this correctly, the lower the offset number the more the wheel sticks out?? I know you have plenty of wheel fitment knowledge as I have followed your work on your car but I'm not looking to have the perfect offset. My main concern is making sure the new wheel doesn't mess with any parts in there. The chart in the link that Airmousam provided says 19x8.5 with 40mm should be good but do you think it's too conservative??? The wheel I'm looking at has only 19x8.5 40 available

Careful running 19"s in NJ. I had them (reps) on my last E and bent several of them in pot holes....and I ran stocks in the winter!! They look sharp and I do miss the look

Sorry to thread jack but I came across a used set of wheels that I am interested in as well. The specs are 19x8.5/9.5 with ET35 for both front and rears. Anyone of you would care to chime in and let me know whether it will fit?

Here is a listing for a set with 20x10 ET40 in the rear. I really think the rear offset here is too little, poking out too far.

In this thread, he has 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 staggered, both ET45. I think the fit is perfect:

If I get the 19s I will only put them on in the summer. Just like you said, potholes are just a nightmare around here.
