Pros and Cons of Straight Piping an E350?
I have an E350 2013, half my friends and relatives are telling me to straight pipe it and how amazing it will sound, while the others are telling me that there are too many issue that come with SPing my car. What are some pros and cons that come with straight piping, especially with a Benz?

-As an in warr car, I don't think MB will be pleased when you roll in for service
-it's a v6, could be wrong, but don't think it's going to sound great...some have done some tasteful exhaust mods on the 350, hopefully they chime in....good luck

Aside from the noise.....especially on long trips, and for your neighbors......you may have performance and smog certification issues. If you change the exhaust back pressure without remapping the injectors your performance and motor temperature could suffer. It will kill you warranty as well. Besides, straight pipes on an E350 is ghetto flash

I was looking to modify my exhaust as well when I first bought my E350. I was probably still in rice mode from my vr6 Jetta. I ended up doing the X-Pipe mod which I did on my C300 and sounded great! However same did not apply to my E350. I guess the exhaust tips are setup differently then the C300 so it doesn't resonate as nicely and I didn't notice much of a difference. That was about two year ago. I ended up getting over the whole exhaust phase and just drove the car how it should be. A nice highway cruiser. I kind of wish I never chopped up the exhaust, but oh well. Ill just wait it out for the cool exhaust sounds until I buy my E63. I guess my advice would be to avoid it if you can as its not the type of car for it. If you do end up doing it, you wont have any issues besides an annoying drone on highways.

I would say that the Number One Con would be the fact that other drivers and even lowly pedestrians, bike riders, dogs, etc. would look at you as you roar by and think to themselves "what was he thinking!"
