My star on my grille has a crack in it. It is the distronic star. Anyone know the part number or where I can get one reasonable? I didnt even notice that when I was buying the car.

Is you car a 2011? If so, I think your grille is an aftermarket grille. I would search Ebay.

They didn't use the round distronic star on E class until 2014.

OP has the coupe, not the sedan. Why not try to take to seller since you just got it? I noticed a crack a few days after sale and they changed it for me.

Those grille is OEM. Try to search on internet. If not, go to dealer. Should be within $200.

Yes it does have the distronic option. And yes I am pretty sure this is the factory grille. I bought it from a private dealer and it was not CPO. They said they wont change it already.

Call 55Tech. I bought their star grille that came with the OEM star. I later got the smooth disk when I swapped for the car with Distronic. I used the star with the round disk.


I believe their disk would fit or is it the star itself that has cracked?


Either way the disk and star should be available thru them with very low price compared to MB.

This is an after-market grille. Search Ebay for "w212 distronic grille" to find the options available. Not really sure if the same fits coupe and sedan models. Look into it. It's possible that the coupe came like this, but all the sedans came with the non-star slotted grille.
