Mine were looking a bit ratty, and to buy a bit of time I wrapped them with black hockey tape. The colour and texture of the tape matches the duct material perfectly. Of course this is a temporary fix, until I manage to buy replacement ones...

I have a 2011 E550 Base model, and my air intake hoses are completely missing...They used to be there... I am going to buy the Spectre 8741 Kit, but what is this large part in the front? Does anyone know where to get it? Thanks

Might want to check your VIN. E550 2011 did not have the M278.

You're correct, I can't take a photo of mine at the moment so I just used someone's photo from above to reference the type of part needed, I don't know what car that is. Mine is an E550 Base, sorry for the confusion.

did just the busted up side first to check fitment. seems to fit fine. collars are snug. now to see how durable they are and how long they last.
$40cdn on amazon. installed in minutes, super easy to swap out.

I did try those air intakes listed on amazon/ebay... wrong part number but lists as compatible... they are the wrong size and will not fit a C207 E550 coupe.

For anyone who ends up finding this thread, I found a YouTube video that showed the installation of the aftermarket Spectre air intake hose. I just did mine and it was actually really easy.
