Should I Install a Roof Spoiler?

First post of a first time Mercedes-Benz owner. I have recently purchased a W212 E350 Sport and have made some changes to the car. I have bought a roof spoiler and have fitted it on the car but I cannot decide whether to install it or not. In your opinion, Does my car look better with or without the roof spoiler?

No Spoiler - Side.

No Spoiler - Rear.

Spoiler - Side.

Spoiler - Rear.

If you keep the roof spoiler remove those taillight surrounds.

I like the roof spoiler. Just makes the car look less plain. Really subjective i think but I am sure many on this board would agree with installing the roof spoiler. Looking a a carbon fiber one myself.

I would agree - get rid of the chrome and put in the dark version of the tail lights....

something like these...I have no affiliation on the item below...

then it would look awesome...

This car looks good with both spoilers or none. It is ok with just the trunk lid spoiler but for me looks better without it if there is no window spoiler. You obviously have the trunk one so get the window spoiler installed.

Thanks for all the feedback. Why do some not like the chrome taillight trim?

Chrome was the style in the early 2000s (or thereabouts) and in the age of lightweight performance parts (such as carbon fiber), the additional weight, cost, and lack of functionality of chrome just doesn't cut it for most people. Personally I don't mind the chrome that comes on the car from the factory (minus the chrome door handles... hate those, very tacky), but any additional is too much.

Because it looks like what it is - stick on trim that does not look right or good on your car, in my opinion of course. It's tacky at best. I do however like the roof spoiler on your car.

Some? I haven't read a post that said they like the chrome tail lights yet. Those chrome surrounds makes the car look cheap, maybe something kids put on their Honda Civics to make the car stand out.

I don't recall much love for chrome on this board. Seems there are more posts about removing it than adding it.

Was wondering why all the chrome hate as well. Personally a bit of chrome is fine and does draw attention to certain part of the car. I think that is ok, it is when people just chrome out the car just for the sake of it that makes it look tacky and cheap. Again, it's just personal taste. I would keep the chrome that came with the car as I do like the little bit of shine.

I agree, I like a bit of chrome, especially on a black car. Much like you, I do not like too much of it, especially cheap after market chrome. Personally, I do not like that all black out look, it adds no accent to the cars design and features.

Are these stick-on spoilers? Stick to glass or ?? Where is place to purchase a good quality one?
