Considering this 2014 CPO.. BUT!
So I came across this CPO (link below) loaded with every option you can think of but...it has an accident
Carfax shows accident in the rear. They're asking $38599 and the car has 22k miles. What do you guys think? put an offer or walk away? I would normally walk away but this car has every option I want lol Also, how's the price they're asking..overpriced?

Thanks in advance!

my understanding is that to qualify as a CPO there can not have been any metal body work done, but refinishing a bumper is allowed. I would try to get details of the accident- could have been a parking lot push on the bumper. if that was the case i would not worry about it.

That looks good. You should ask for the report of the accident and the repair bills. Also ask for the pre repair photographs. That car looks well optioned. Does it have distronic? Minor accident requiring only a bumper replacement would not bother me. But non alighted panels and shoddy paint job would. Make sure each electronic items are working. Ask them to demonstrate. (Not a report). Good luck.

So dealer got back to me. They said the rear bumper was replaced but no structural damage therefore they can offer it as CPO. What do you guys think? Should I give it a try and negotiate the price down to maybe 36k?

I thought the prices would be down by now but I don't think I can afford it the way it's going. Also by the time the prices are to where I want, the car would be 4 years old which is not good for me. After giving some thought, I think 300hp V6 is enough power for my driving style. I don't really race or go to tracks. This car would be my daily driver and doesn't make sense to increase the consumption of gas for little return of joy. I guess my younger me was talking before but again I put a lot of thought on this and an e350 makes more sense at this point in my life. Jeez I sound like my Dad haha

it says $37,599 when I click on your ad link. I cannot imagine they would not do $36K
Looks great to me. ...and a bumper replacement is not a big deal at all.

Good luck. A part of me wanted you to get a 550 but whatever makes you happy. Just make sure that you won't feel differently in a few months. There's always another deal only a few months away many times.

My Murano only has like 270hp and I used to think it was lightning fast until I got my 550. So 300hp in a car is more then enough. I just remember OP saying several times that he wanted a 550 so that stuck out to me.

I thought my V6 Accord was fast so it would be plenty for me under normal circumstances. I do recall OP shopping for the E550 too but those are more rare it seems - the 2014 E550 is the last unicorn. And we all become like our fathers (or mothers) eventually.

The internet never forgets...
Distronic is pretty rare so if you are interested in that feature and want the E350, then this might be worth it. Is it the prior accident still holding you back?

I would personally skip a car with a history like that but doesn't seem all that bad...certainly something to explain at resale.
You can pick up an E350 CPO with low miles, like a returned lease such as mine for under 33-34k - I drove a few at MB Oxnard before picking mine up

If you thought of an E550 - at least test drive one - yes you will love the power - I think you should at least both

I concur. There is a big difference and the mpg numbers are not as bad as some have mentioned. It's a decision you should make based on your own preference.
