An easy safety enhancement is the Gloria fire extinguisher 000 860 33 80. It fits as intended in the under-seat bin once a small plastic filler strip is removed.

If I have a fire I'm not extinguishing it! I've had three speakers melt so far...praying for a fire so I can stop inhaling melting electronic fumes every time I drive my car! Sad thing is, the HK speakers cost so much (and I almost purchased the first melted one)...now that I'm three speakers deep I'm glad I didn't waste my money! But nonetheless a option for those who want to put out small fires. Plus, that's my sunglass holder since MB decided I didn't need one.

Its not a halon extinguisher so one must expect a mess if used. An ethical dilemma is whether I'd expend mine on someone else's fire...approaching a burning car can be hazardous to your health!

No ethical issues with self preservation. As long as the vehicle has been evacuated, I'm staying back!

Why would you want to use this useful space for a fire extinguisher. Maybe the trunk but not in this useful space. But then if you do not need the space it would be fine. We use it for umbrellas and the glock
