Quad tips on my E550

Retro fitted a pair of quad tips made for a C63 or a E550 w AMG bumper which I don't have .... think it looks great. Took a lot of TLC to get it to fit properly. My E550 has a tune by Eurotech. Got to match the power with the aesthetic effects!!

Has anyone done this on 2014+? I am looking at doing it, but not sure they will fit.

They will work. Just get the correct E63 brackets to hold the quad tips in place. Obviously you would also have to cut out the stock E350 diffuser to fit.

Can we use an oval/quad-tip set-up with the existing W212 E550 diffuser?? i love the quad look, but prefer old-school oval or round to E63 square's. Appreciate anyone's input or opinions.

imho, the quad rectangular fits the W212/C207 best.
round or oval fits the W211 better since its body is more round than edgy like the W212.

I don't disagree...still prefer the ovals ala Audi S's. But they too are more rounded than edgy. What's the MB-community think of those add-on "frames" you can put over the single tip to make it appear a dual? Cheap from what i can tell.

you mean this...

maybe coz it is cheap. but better than out-of-place oval shaped tail pipes i reckon.

That's the one...short money for an easy update....as one guy pointed out, with salt and NE weather, curious how long it takes for them to look like a cheap imitation. Love to hear more feedback.

^hey...there you go.... at least youre quick enough to pick up on the "sarcastic" part. youre not a total idiot after all.

next time you wanna hijack a thread. try using common sense. like they say..."its better to use your head for thinking, than carrying it around for nothing"

Beej, i admit i'm not familiar with how you use the term "hijack"...as i'm new to posting on forums. But before you get all blokey ya Wombat, it's my bad, as i thought this thread was actually about an inexpensive quad tailpipe replacement alternative. Of course i went to the eBay link before offering my opinion of what can happen to a cheap plasti-metal part in a New England Winter ya ****. I appreciate your educating me and being so welcoming to a newbie on the forum. You can go all wristy on yourself now, i'm done.
