Tire advise

I need tires For my sedan and want to hear some feedback on what you guys like. This car will never see snow and not much rain. I want a tire to be as quiet as possible.
Thanks

You'll get as many opinions as there are posters. Most reviewers (Tire Rack, Consumer Reports, Car & Driver, etc) rate the Michelin Pilot Super Sports as the best performance tire. I've been using them for years on my Audi TT and they have virtually no road noise, even when the tread wears down. (For most tires, tires get noisier as the tread wears.) For slightly less performance and about 50% more tread life, get the Pilot Sport A/S 3+. Most folks think the best bang for the buck tire is the Continental DW which has a softer ride but the last set I had on my E350 wore out in 15K miles so I am presently using the AS3

If you want a quiet a quiet tire, go for the grand touring tire. The Bridgestone Serenity Plus is a good choice.

I had the contiprocontact and just put on the DWS06 a month ago and love them. Huge improvement over the stock contiprocontact and cost 300 less for 4 tires. As for road noise though it really is about the same between the two tires. As for our 2012 E350 the most popular tires, I think that are worth getting, are Michelin Pilot Super Sport (summer), Continental Extreme Contact Sport (NEW, summer), Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+, Continental Extreme Contact DWS06. I also have the sport package 18" staggered setup so maybe if you have the 17" wheels my advice wont be much help.

Michelin PRIMACY MXV4 - I've had these on our previous W211, I'll be getting them again when the tires on my W212 wear out.

Never Michellins again

I have Michellin Primacy MXM4. Very, very noisy. I had a Toyota SUV that came with Michellins - very, very noisy.
Don't know about newest tires, but I have never found Michellins to be quiet or smooth riding.
Another factor is that the E class had very poor underbody sound insulation, especially in the wheel wells.

If you're telling me my car could be quieter and smoother on the highway than it is right now, then sign me up!

I went with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+. They are a improvement from what I had but I still hear a lot of road noise coming from the rear.
