I have a question, is there any after market sites or is it possible to add on parking sensors on the front and or rear? obviously it has a back up camera but with a wagon its a little long and would like some extra comfort with parking. I'm not sure how expensive it may be but i wanted to ask you all ! thanks!

It can be done as an aftermarket item, but they're usually not body color and they look horrible. I've seen some generic looking ones on different cars. The MB ones are body color and are flush with the bumper. OEM would be pretty hard because I think each sensor alone lists for about $50 and in 2011, they had parking guidance as part of parktronic. Then there's also the front and rear display plus the parktronic off button on the dash.

My E550 got rear ended, had to get 4 new sensors, 286 bucks a pair. Thank God insurance paid for everything.

Yea I didn't know if Mercedes made parking sensors for my year made and model that's why I was asking . If it's going to be expensive then I can live without it . Just wanted to see how much it was going to run me and how much they'd run .

Parking sensors are easy to find, you can even have your body shop paint them, but integrating it into the command module is the hard part. Unless you want an ugly aftermarket module mounded on your dashboard.

Probably one of the most asked questions on this forum and always gets the same responses. LOL

Yeah, just search Parktronic or parking sensors and you will find threads regarding the desire to install the system including aftermarket options. I understand the desire to have Parktronic. It is a great option.
