Cost of vehicle insurance depends on many things. A few are: How many vehicles on the policy, number of drivers of the vehicle, driving record of drivers, policy liability limits(min. required to 1,000,000.00+), distance to work, city and state where vehicle is registered, Is vehicle it part of overall policy that covers auto and home, deductible amount 250.00 to 2000.00. (i have 1500.00 deductible) Windshield/ window no deductible vs some amount. Credit history of owner and number of claims in past.

Wow, I thought my premium was HIGH, but suddenly, I don't feel so bad...
I am in VA, GEICO, maxed out coverage, w/ towing, emer. roadside, rental, etc.
I pay $403 per 6 months. I thought I had the lowest premium listed so far, until I saw zipsman03

^yes. It's a question that always comes up with no correct or helpful answer because of the variables involved. It's like going to an AA meeting. My insurance is free because I paid too much to Allstate for 25 years.

I had a not at fault claim with geico, 2013 and while they considered it until 2015, (2000$ per 6 months, for a 2012 VW CC, back in 2014, quoted); they gave me for 600$ per 6 months on my merc. which is very good price for me.

This is making me depressed. I pay $230 a month for my insurance. My rate went up slightly due to a claim on previous car and our insurance rates here are brutal because insurance is handled by the Province with little private competition. Even with full no accidents discount Im thinking it would be around 180 a month. British Columbia is a rip off in many ways including housing prices. /sigh

When we moved a while back, Allstate crushed USAA on homeowners rates and I ended up switching auto also. Those of you with USAA might want to shop around.
I found that their rates went up significantly after they expanded their membership to include enlisted personnel.

I have GEICO with the works(Rental, Roadside etc. but 1k Deduct) but also I have homeowners with them and the Murano is full covered with them as well. It's roughly $900 for 6 months for just the E550. I haven't gotten any tickets of any kind in a decade plus "Knock on wood". I think a lot of it has to do with the area in which I live and the commuting area I traverse.
It's gonna suck when my 17 year old gets his license this year LOL.

Yes, the teen driver is the wild card. You can expect a $2,500 to $4,000 bump in the policy. Enjoy!

I see you are also in VA, so maybe USAA's rates are higher in VA for some reason.
