I'm 59 and just retired. I live in So Cal, so the prices are a little higher here. I'm looking at buying my first Mercedes.

Is this a fair deal? Can I realistically expect to get 10 years our of a car like this? Anything to look out for?

2014 E350, 27,000 miles

PRISTINE! Steel grey with black interior. 360 Camera, Distronics, Navigation, 17" AMG Wheels, Folding Rear Seats, Premium 1 Package, Adaptive LED headlights, Sport Package, Keyless GO, Parking Assist, Driver Assistance Package. Ceramic window tint. No accidents, no dents, no dings. Garaged when not being driven. See attached Window Sticker picture. MSRP New $65,835. Factory bumper to bumper warranty remaining until April 2018. No scheduled maintenance due until April 2018. All Scheduled Maintenance has been performed by Mercedes Dealer. CA Registration paid through March 2018

The guy wants $32,000 or best offer.

Thanks in advance, Brad.

moved to W212 forum...
seems a bit high for private seller...
depending on options/mileage, u can find them as low as ~$20k...
definitely will last 10+ years as long as maintenance / normal wear & tear repairs are done...

That prices seems a bit high to me as well. Although I'd say in the 25k-28k area based on my quick search. These cars can definitely last 10 plus years. My model is closing up on that landmark and is still running like a champ. Take away the occasional hiccup and maintenance.

Also congrats on the retirement and enjoy.

I got similar vehicle(all you mentioned with 35% Nissan tinting and all-season MB floor mats, comfort box in the trunk) with Diamond Silver Metallic (non-AMG wheels - 17") with 43k miles on it, still under factory warranty from Nissan Dealer (got 172pt inspection from Mercedes and passed with flying colors) for 27k OTD(sticker $68,254).
Spent additional $2500 on ELW from MB.
I'm from Charlotte, NC, I'm the 3rd owner.

That was my purchase. Please, get the vehicle tested by MB(170+ point check inspection), is that vehicle still under warranty? If so, you can get the 7/75k ELW from MB for around $2500 to have some peace of mind.

The price seems high for the year/mileage. Plus I would not buy a use Mercedes unless it's from a Mercedes dealer simply because when the dealer get them, the do the full inspection according to Mercedes standard and you get a CPO warranty of one year from the date factory expires.

That was my point, the KBB price i quoted was for a certified pre-owned. You don't know what nightmare your asking for if it's not dealer inspected.

Thanks, I don't know where you guys are seeing all these cheap cars, but in So Cal at a dealer 2014's range from 34,000 to 36,000. In fact Fletcher Jones has the same car I was looking at for 36,988.

They also have a fully equipped 2015 for 39,000.

Based on what in seeing in So Cal, I should have jumped on the fully loaded 2014 for 32,000.

(Yes, the other thread is mine too. This one wasnt getting any traction, so the mods moved it here. Maybe they can combine the two)

I bought my white 2014 E350 last year with 22k miles for 34k in LA area. It was not equipped with 360 or distronic, but had everything else. Multi-contour seat, vent seat, pano, black ash wood. 32k isn't too outrageous for the right buyer who wants those, I KNOW I DID (distronic)!

You could get an off-lease E350 for 25k-28k range, but it would not be equipped very well, especially with LED lighting package. It was pretty damn hard to find an E350 with parktronic with lighting in white/black with a black ash interior. Most of the well equipped with distronic and all the other fun stuff had burl wood interior. No thanks.

Vehicle is reliable, my warranty runs out this June but I do all my own maintenance. Only warranty work in my ownership was aux battery and both visors not going up all the way.

Few, if any, cars are actually Excellent condition.

Few, if any, cars are actually in excellent condtion per KBB and other standards.
I would check out AutoTrader, Cars.com, TrueCar, CarMax, etc. just for comparison pricing.
Biggest concern with any MB or European luxury car is the maintenance expense. Especially as they get older.

Wonderful find. Nice color, you'll love it in person, if you haven't already from the pics.

Sorry for laughing, but "not many places to drive to, I guess"

My brother lives in Maui and you are correct, sir! I'm a fan of that color. The bow, well... not so much. Enjoy!

Check it over well, especially underneath. Hawaii is the most corrosive State in our Union. Metal deteriorates at an alarming rate there.

Congrats. As a CPO car, have your car check by a reputable 3rd party for re-paint. Carfax sometimes shows accidents months even a year after the fact. Have your exterior pain check to see if the density is factory paint or it has been repainted. If it had been repainted, them most likely it has been in a accident.

Thanks guys, I had it checked out by Autobahn West in Mission Viejo, CA. No issues.

Just one question. How the heck do I turn the radio off, but leave the navigation on?

Set your radio to a source with no sound like Aux.

Congrats.
Be sure to throughly read the Operator's and COMAND Manuals.
If you use an automated (conveyor) type car wash, read the instructions on how to place it in neutral and get out of car. Assuming 2014's still go into park if you open the door. Also need to turn off the HVAC system and this should be in OM as well.
In fact I have an instruction sheet I leave on seat for attendent in case he/she does not know how to do an MB.
Unfortunately no longer able to hand wash myself.
Drive safely, COMAND can be distracting.
Happy Motoring!

I had the same question awhile back ... you can also just hit the mute button on your steering wheel.

Congrats on your new car!
