Big Purchase in a few, please help! GS 350 Lexus vs ES350 MB
In the LONG run, which would be the better buy? The E350 has 45k miles and priced at $27k and the GS350 has 30k mikes and prices at $31k.The both ride smooth and nice to look at lol but I need more help. The salesman is more of a Lexus guy so he's pretty bias but please offer your options. FYI, I will be getting a 5/6 yr warranty on either one when purchased.
If it is 4matic. I would prefer Merc, else I prefer Merc

Good luck
lexus...well it's a Lexus. The #1 most reliable car every year. At heart I'm a Toyota/ Lexus guy. I do however love my new e550.

Lots of factors and variables here that'd determine if you're comparing apples to apples: are both cars the same MY? Are the comparably equipped? Are they still under factory warranty? etc?
If money is an issue for you, then obviously you'd go with the less expensive choice, but if money isn't an issue I'd say take both on an extended test drive and buy the one that gives you most comfort/satisfaction/enjoyment.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

For me 35-40 mpg Mercedes is the cheapest vehicle to drive ever.
And yes, even I am not very touchy about prestige, I found out I don't mind it.
ive owned a 2013 gs350 f sport it was nice
Benz u may need warranty or extra cash for repairs where lexus u can take all over the country as long as u have money to put gas haha
but having said that if u buy the lexus u will miss that german car feel but u will get piece of mind if ur like me who doesn't like car problems or have time for it

I've read your comments, and the big concern for you seems to be price and mileage. In my opinion you can't have both.
If you are concerned with 45,000 miles, then the first question I would ask is when was the car put in service. For example, if it was purchased in June or July of 2013, then technically the car has been driven for 4 years, so 45,000 miles over a four year time frame is a little over 11,000 miles a year...which is less than one would put on a car in a lease. If the car was put into service in 2014, then over a three-year period, it means the car was driven around 15,000 miles a year, which is still average nowadays.
Like I said earlier, instead of focusing on only two aspects, you must make sure you're comparing apples to apples and not apples to oranges, trying to justify a certain price or a certain mileage.

Toyota / Lexus is the gold standard for reliability.
Any car can go pear-shaped, but the odds are stacked in your favor with Toyota / Lexus versus nearly everything else on the road.

Despite a ~100hp deficit, recall the GS350 F-Sport nearly beat the CTS V-Sport in one or more comparisons back in ~'13-14. Therefore, I think it's safe to say the GS will be more of a driver's car than the E350. (Disclaimer: I don't have any seat time with the E350. And I'd be driving a GS today if it was offered with some muscle to rival or at least come close to the M278 in the E550.)

But, the Lexus is the better car for reliability and resale (if that matters). Johnny Rad said it and it is true.
Not sure what year models you are presenting, but both are harsh riding cars. More recent GS models are supposed to ride better.
Absoulutely must take both for 30-60 minute test drives over rough roads. Tell sales rep to shut up and not distract you. Pay attention to ride and noise levels-turn the audio off.
Both are going to be expensive to service and repair, but MB probably moreso because you will have to do it more often.
As for interior vs. exterior, both are important. BUT you will spend a lot more time inside riding in it than outside looking at it.
If you get the MB, definitely get the extended warranty from MBUSA - you will need it.
Not an easy decision, good luck.

Based on your above posts, you obviously didn't consult your dictionary.

How's this for research?
http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...searchRadius=0
-only 28 cars nationwide under $27k and under 45k miles
-most of them are base Luxury models (not that there's anything wrong with that)
-none of them are from MB dealerships or CPO'd
-none of them are fully loaded (or even decently equipped, for that matter)
-lots are from mom-and-pop used cars lots, draw your own conclusions from there...
So, like I said, if you are comparing apples to apples and want to check all the boxes, then $27k is a good price...and if you want to be cheap and try to steal one for $21k, then you get what you pay for!
When you are ready to offer something objective and substantial to the OP or to the thread, instead of subjective smart-Alec remarks trying to refute what's already mentioned, then let us know.
