2014 e350 4matic need a minor interior part

There is a as all silver colored plastic trim piece that sits in a groove on the driver side temperature control switch that is missing. I've tried to search for it online but can't find one or Eveleth part number.

How does something like that go missing? I bet you have to buy the whole control panel. Did you try placing a paperclip into area? they have various sizes.

Thanks.

Thanks. I just bought the car and it's the only blemish. ItsI just a plastic strip that snap's in with two posts intoithe tip of thw switch. Certainly not worth replacing the entire switch. In the old days I'd just go to the local junk yard with a pair of pliers and they'd just let me harvest it for a couple bucks. But junkyards aren't what they used to be.

I could try a paperclip but it kind of turns and flattens out (if it's to match the one on the passenger side).

I had similar issue finding missing tabs for my center vent and found whole assembly pretty cheap on Polish allegro.
"Chmura" is Polish name, isn't it?

Here is whole unit, that shipped will be less than $100. Way cheaper than you can find it on US ebay.

Thanks.

Thanks for the tip. And yes, Chmura is a Polish name... Though you might be the first correct guess in my 50 years lol.

Im going to give junk yards a shot. Installing a whole assembly will taketaalott longer than snapping in a 2.5 inch piece of plastic. But if income up empty I'll check out allegro.

Check out this other thread for ideas - maybe the person there came up with a solution. You can message them to find out. https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...-c-button.html
