No offence guys, but judging headlight by the frame looks is for women.
They suppose to match handbag anyway.
My newest stable edition come with LED and I am not fun of them becouse of distorision.
Right now we have 3 cars in stable 1 having projection halogen, 2nd xenons and 3rd with LED.
I love xenons for crispy beams, but they take time to warm up. Not really big issue with our freeway driving, but for guys on highways, where you have to change the light often it might.
LED as I mention don't produce the best light, but they save energy and allow for quick flash.
Projection halogen in comparison is like "did I turn my lights on? "

So I took the dive and decided to upgrade the OEM LED Headlights to the Depo European Full LED Headlights and I upgraded the grill to a AMG E63 Grill and lighted MB Star. Love the look, love the brightness of the new headlamps, love the updated look also of the daytime LED. Total cost installed of Headlights, OEM E63 Grill, Lighted OEM MB Star was $550.00. Would have done it myself but don’t have the time to do it. Here is a pic....

Hey Thanks for being the Guinea pig. I just picked a 2014 W212 Sport and came across this really helpful thread regarding this headlight upgrade. I think I might try them too on my new to me car. Especially for the price.

great. Nice to hear that you are happy with the final result. Can you tell if the low beam is a LED projector / HID projector or a LED reflective set up like the original One you replaced? What about the high beam?
Also we would love to see a picture showing the actual light output on a vertical wall at 25” and 100” distance. Thank you for being the guinea pig. We appreciate it very much.

Hi, does anyone know if these are worth an upgrade ? I tried searching around but did not find anything .
It says plug and play but it also says you need to swap out the LED modules.

Looks like a lil late because the link doesn’t work for me..does anyone know how much they were maybe I can find them again? I was looking at a 2014 350 sport a couple months ago but didn’t do it because they didn’t have the option to fold Mirrors (I prefer to have that because I park on the streets) but now I’m about to pull trigger on a 2015 which have that option but don’t have these led headlights 😩 and I really want them so can someone help, thanks.

What lamps the car has?
Frankly , having xenons and LED, I like the xenon light beam better.
LED have edges with color distortion, at least on my 2014 model.

Wow, you either got the bargain of the century or the price of the lights has really skyrocketed! I just ordered them from fishcake321 and they came out to almost $1,250.00. I really do hope the light output is on par...

The headlights arrived and I went at it yesterday. Appearance wise, they look great. Performance is pretty good but not quite as good as the factory low beams. Here's the before pics:
Foreground
Low beams
High beams
Spread
Here's the after:
The new look
Low beams
A little streaking, weird yellow U-shaped pattern in the foreground
On the road.

That's common problem for aftermarket headlights.
They have badly shaped mirrors, what gives you mosaic instead of light beam.
Still if the light output is stronger, that is upgrade, isn't it?

I was surprised that they look brighter than the stocks in the pictures because behind the wheel, they definitely don't seem to be anywhere near the crisp, bright white the oems put out. The wall shots were taken at the same place though.
These seem a bit dimmer, yellower and with less sideroad illumination. They're not bad, just don't seem to have the same pizzaz. I didn't drive around much last night, maybe I just need to give them a little more road time.

New update: went out with the family today. After brunch, while driving, I got a "check right low beam" message, then a second message about the right parking lamp.
After inspecting with the car running, the left side is normal (DRL on with switch in auto position) but on the right side the headlights stay on.
Guess these headlights are going back...

EurodriverSD, did you get your headlights from the link posted in this thread, the ebay site, aliexpress, or another website? Seems to be some quality control issues for now.
Also wanted to say that if anyone is looking to sell their OEM static LED headlights (especially the driver side) after doing this upgrade, please send me a message as I'm looking to replace my stock, cracked lens.

The only way to really know if these depo branded headlights have better, the same, or worse light output would probably mean getting a car with aftermarket lights and car with the stock static lights lined up in parking lot in dark conditions. Over course that’s the challenge. I’m glad owners are giving us updates on their experiences. I’m still interested in the upgrade someday.

I loved the look of the AMG style but for the headaches, I'm content with the stock headlights.

I gave wether I should do the aftermarket upgrade or not some deep thought, did a bit of research on the w212 OEM full LED conversion and it seems many guy have had success with retrofitting OEM equipment. At this point there are so many Full LED headlights housing being sold on eBay for a few hundred bucks each, I might as well do the conversion using used oem parts. I contacted these guys and they sell a wiring harness and will code the vehicle so that you get most of the functionality from the full LED headlights. I may spend a couple hundred more then doing the plug and play depo units, but I rather not deal with the headaches of removing them a second time because of manufacturer defects and I will know for sure what I’m getting in regards to to light output, color temperature and coverage.

The forum is not fond of this website, No matter if I hand-type the web address or copy/paste it. It lays asterisks in parts of the address when I hit the post button. Any how here is the website screenshots.

Hello members, I plunged in and decided to facelift my w212 2010model with the 2015 AMG kit that comes with the full DEPO LED headlights but the main issue I am facing is that I can't seem to get high beam. Do I need to have the SAM coded or do I need to purchase the Halogen headlights to LED Dynamic conversion cable kit?

I think you should contact Chris through his website. He usually responds pretty quickly.
