'12 E350 turned itself on after pressing panic button on FOB?
So here's the story:
Windows were down, car was locked. Key was in the house. I manually unlocked the driver's side door by pulling up on the locking mechanism. I then proceeded to open the door and alas the alarm went off. Ran in the house to grab the key and after pressing the PANIC button (to silence the alarm) something very strange happened. The car started itself...
Has anyone experienced this before? The car does not have push start feature.
I tried three times to repeat the behavior -- worked every time.
I will take a video later and post it so you can see for yourself.
Strangest thing I ever experienced with a car...

On my Ford remote I have special button for start, but procedure is:
-hit "lock" button
- hit "start" button twice.
Hard to start the engine accidentally and Ford will start from 1/4 mile and around the corner. Did not test it farther, but have a feeling that 1/2 mile might not be out of question.
Just gave it another go (hold PANIC on keyfob for half second and release). Worked like a charm...the key is to simply press PANIC without holding and everything works as according to the bulletin.
