What is this button?

This isn't a picture of my car, but I have every button here except for this one I highlighted in red (the other one I know is the park assist since I have that option). I'm just curious what this button is because after looking at a lot of cars before buying mine, I've never seen one with a button here.

for me I don't have ventilated seats, so those two buttons are not there at all.
The highlighted one have 'reset rear seat headrest'.

^ +1 ...looks to be the rear seat headrest lowering button option (which apparently you don't have) - see here (link) post 13...

All 2015 W212 models loses that button. My 14' sedan had it, my 15' sedan did not.

Per 2015 Dealer ordering guide among other changes -

Elimination of rear head restraint lowering via the switch in the center console as of mid MY14. (Switch will be eliminated; will impact photography).

Elimination of net on the right side of the trunk as of mid MY14. (Will impact photography.)

Yes, my 2014 has that switch and it is fully functional and drops the rear headrests if they have been extended.

Webasto

In the T modell (Wagon) is a bit different :-)

In my case (wagon), I also have the Webasto heating system (to heat or ventilate the car remotely or with this button to program it )
I don't have the rear window electric curtain (because it's a wagon).

interesting how image snip of manual notes (wagon) - bc the option is also available on 2014 sedan, as wife's w212 has this option and it's a sedan... also see page 34 in online manual - maybe after model year 2014 the option was only available for the wagon?

Could be. My 2014 is also a Sedan and has it.

Thanks for the info! Was wondering why I only saw it in certain years.

In my car, that button engages the Flux Capacitor...

I decided if I was going to have some fun, I'd borrow a picture that had the full complement of buttons. I don't have the cooled seats, so I 'm short two buttons. (But my 2001 C-Class has the fold-down headrest button, if that counts for anything.)

I hoped you wouldn't mind, but hey, now you have a picture of your cockpit with a Flux Capacitor Drive (WOW)

While we're having fun...

Has anyone removed one of these blank buttons? I assume it just pushes into a blank hole. But knowing Mercedes, it's bound to be over-engineered.

Can the clip be undone from the outside of the dash, and on what edge is the clip? Just in case I run across a good deal on a Flux Capacitor...

I think you're better off slapping a transparent sticker with a logo over that button.

I have that button too and it's so useless. Nobody really ever raises the rear headrests so I never have a reason to press it. On my w211 the rear headrests actually folded down flat giving you more visibility through the back glass which I was something I thoroughly appreciated
