I heard with h&r you will need to do some kind of modification to the front.

Nothing wrong with vogtland springs, their 1.6 inch drop is pretty good

mainly wanted h&r because i hear the ride is better. my old 2010 550 was airmatic, and this 14 on springs rides better trying to keep that haha

I think vogtlands plus 19s ride fine for the most part, but way too stiff when it hits a bump

Did you do anything for camber? I have those same springs , just haven't installed them. Wait on someone to correct camber and save my tires

my front tires were well within spec after lowering, rear tires are definitely in the negatives, like -2.1 or something. Not sure how quickly they'll wear with that camber

Is there no way to adjust camber on these cars at an alignment shop? Also back to the original question, I've read that H&R springs would work, but are not recommended due to load rating differences between the 4Matic and rwd cars. Do you know if this is confirmed?

not unless you get an adjustable control arm. There was a member here once who stated he used h&r but had to modify the fronts to make it work. How he did it I don't know. I think it's more like 4matic v6 vs 4matic v8 load rating instead of awd vs rwd. I'm pretty sure there are springs for 350 4matic. Can I confirm anything, not really haha

Ahhh.....the V6 vs V8 specificiation makes sense. I know they work on the RWD E550 coupe so I was thinking it was a load rating issue between 4Matic and RWD.
Without airmatic it seems we're limited to Vogtland, which has a 1.6 drop, and I assume that means the E550 sedan is just over 1" since it comes from the factory already lower than the E350??

I dont see any reason why a 550 would be any lower than a 350. Sport models are definitely lower than luxury models though. Looks like a 1.6 inch drop on the sport model to me.
