Exclamation 2014 E350 72k miles

THinking about buying this guy this weekend. I am new to MB forum and this will be my first vehicle. What should I look for? Any concerns? Is this high mileage for a 2014?

Posted on another thread similar response. Patience is key you can find a W212 V6 or V8, low miles, 1 owner no accidents for great prices.

also another option to look for it was a corporate registered vehicle. Reason being those are low miles highway usually or to the office up the street. Well cared for non smoking.

But I was concerned about the shifting issue in the automatics when going from 1st to 3rd and when driving slowly. I noticed it when test driving this one yesterday and while doing my research I saw this was a common issue up until the 2016 models. Kinda turning me off from the e350 honestly. I will be going from a 2006 Civic lol But def keeping my Civic regardless as a backup.

Had no issues with my W212 E550 then again way better than the E350. You will notice the transmission difference instantly. You can find an exquisite example 2010-13 E550 for around $25K-35K low miles, 1 owner, no accidents.

Check out www.offleaseonly.com. They're in Florida, but their prices are good and all their vehicles are clean lease returns. They ship anywhere in the states.

I wouldn't necessarily write off this car because of what you are feeling the transmission do. It may be the common issue that us with the W212 deal with and that is having to periodically (monthly) perform a transmission adaptation reset.

I would encourage you to go back and perform this on the car and then see how it drives. I can almost guarantee you that it will drive much better. Then make your decision.

Be careful with the Off Lease Only..... I have checked the Car Fax reports and several have have been in accidents.

First if you are new to MB brand, don't buy a car without a warranty.
Old forum wisdom "Not many things can get expensive as fast as cheap Mercedes Benz" is very valid one.
My 2014 Bluetec has 185k miles. I don't see it as high mileage.
Talking about reliability, W212 are the first models since W123 with no major concerns. Still good PPI applies.

this is solid advice that does work quite well. I learned this a few weeks ago and did it on mine and it indeed reset how the car operated in general. I drove in some stop/go DC traffic that over time makes the computer think I drive like that all the time. When I notice it starting to act sluggish (usually after 8 weeks or so), I just do this procedure when I get home and let it sit overnight. Next morning, smooth as glass again for a couple more months. Literally takes me less than 30 seconds of my time to do it.
