E550 vs e63 fender widths for wheel fitment??
Hi, I've been looking for awhile now for my new summer setup and after going through countless threads/post to find a setup that best suits what I'm looking for, I've run into a potential bump in the road. I've decided to go with 19s instead of 20s as my e550 is daily driven and want more rubber (roads are ****ty). I also wanted to get something wider for more traction as the car will be getting a bump in power soon, from what I've seen 19x9 et35 and 19x10.5 et50 would sit flush and allow a decently meaty tire. Here's where I've come to the bump in the road, I've been looking at fitment on e63's as there are significantly more posts on the subject and I was under the impression that the e63 and e550 have the same space in the wheel wells, however someone just mentioned to me that in fact the amg is slightly wider and thus fitment won't be the same. Can anyone comfirm this? I've tried googling but couldn't find anything definitive. Also checked on Wikipedia, which does say the w212 e63 is wider, but I believe that's in reference to the w211 amg.
My car is a 2014 e550 4matic with airmatic. If anyone could shine some light on this or at least point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Correct. E63 runs 255 up front whereas the E550 is 245.

I have a 2014 E550 (w/Airmatic) and I run 2014 E63 Wheels as my summer setup.. I have been running these wheels every summer since 2015. No issues with fitment/rubbing (In either Sport or Comfort suspension mode). It gets a little close at full turn (In Sport only), but unless you're planning on going full lock at 60mph, you won't run into any issues.

I’m running 255 35 19 front and 285 30 19 rear 2014 e550 airmatic. Lowered using lowering module. Rims are from sl550 with amg package. No rubbing with two adults and 3 kids in back.

Sorry for the late reply, it has been busy around here lol. Yes, I am running the 255/35 up front. 4M + Airmatic, stock ride height. No issues. It made me a little nervous the first time I turned the wheel to test the fitment, but it hasn't caused any issues.

To clarify, pics of the car... Not the family.. That would be awkward..
