Exclamation What tires are best for a 2016 E350 Sport Sedan?

Need to replace my tires and wondering what to buy.

Currently have the OEM ContiPros on there.

Am looking at the ContiPures now. Any suggestions?

Dozens of threads on here about which tire to buy, all opinions.

For a bunch of guys who like to mod their cars, they generally don't think outside the box when it comes to tires, opting for OEM Contis Why? I don't know

When I replace the tires on my 2016, I will shop Yokohama Advan Sport A/S. They work great on my older MB. Quieter, too. And the 50,000 mile warranty is hard to beat. Wear them out by 30K miles, take them back to Discount Tire, and the replacements are half price.

Hey there,

Just put on a set of Bridgestone Turanza Quiettrack. Literally have 500 miles on them so, it is still the honeymoon phase but, very quiet and way smoother than my Michelin AS3 plus. Seems to have a sturdier sidewall too. Kind of disappointed in the Michelins...Only 20K miles and they were shot.

I am running Conti pros 97V 245/40 /18 front and 265/35 /18 on the rear. Quiet and smooth, but I was driving a BMW with Bridgestone run flats ,so anything would feel soother and quieter.

Normal 4matic setup is non-staggered right?

I believe so, yes.

You can always go out and inspect your current sidewalls for the numbers...

I bought Pirellis as a replacement tire on a 1996 Dodge Minivan many years ago. They wore out too fast. Wife drove this vehicle, and she's no Mario Andretti. (Neither am I for that matter.)

My first MB came with OEM Pirelli P6s, so no choice in tire there.. They wore out in less than 23,000 miles, the worst treadwear performance I've experienced in any OEM tire.

Had I bought a C32 AMG instead of the C320 I probably would have burned those Pirellis to the ground in 10,000 miles. I recall the Pirellis were quiet, but that's all I can say for them.

Agree about the Pirelli tyres. They wear out scandalously fast.

So you’re saying that the Bridgestone’s are smoother and quieter than the Michelin’s. Interesting. With all the conflicting opinions posted on the internet, I’m getting the impression that any new tire will feel quieter and smoother than the worn out tires you’d just replaced.

Everything on the internet is true!! LOL

people hear differently
People feel differently
Manufacturing tolerances.
Roads in your area.

etc etc etc.

Only you can decide based on your experience...

I have continental PROCONTI or something - OEM tires
They are wearing out quickly though but handle really well.

2014 E550-sold 😩
Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position s-04 for summer only. ContiPro Contact the remainder of the year. Great riding tire, but prone to pot hole damage pretty easily if you are on 18's.
