I have the same issue, I can't open CarPlay, AirPlay, Android Auto....
Then I have installed MCU Version: 20.9.28.15, but the problem was not fixed either
I'm asking for an old version to Aliexpress Seller but he hasn't answered me for days

The seller sent me Cust Version: v2.1.0.9.gpe.m4_2
I can use Carplay and Invalid Update is not show in menu.

There are two different hw version on your pics, Benz and benz2, which one do you have?
yehh, sorry that screenshot from your monitor looks like it might be mine, Hardware version is diffarent, I have BENZ2, you have BENZ, likly find some one that has h/w BENZ maybe their version would work for you, I would contact Roadtop, I can pm you their whatsapp

anyone on NTG 4.5 having an issue where the control knob is actually communicating with the OEM NTG4.5 software in the background?

Hi friend i have Benz2 road top unit like you, have a newer cust an mcu update to share?
I have this version and having problems between oem bluetooth and BT´s carplay....i have to disconect the BT car to hear incoming calls or select it into the phone screen always someone call to me.
Before this i had a road top box with HW BENZ and dont have this problem but i bricked it trying to update MCU with a wrong file of a BENZ2 unit.
I have this version if anyone wants it for the Roadtop unit.

Does your phone connect wirelessly every time with out issue even if you leave the car and return a few minutes later? What about the wired connection?

Yes my phone does connect every time. When I leave the car with the engine running and then come back to the car it does reconnect but it can take 40-50 seconds for it to reconnect. Only updated it today so not had chance to see what issue I have or more to the point what issues have been sorted with this update.
The issues Iv'e had before the update are.
Since IOS 14 update it had started to crash every now and then. But I'm told the update will sort this.
Echoing on the phone. Also supposed to be sorted.
Left steering wheel controls moving the Carplay when I'm changing something on the dash.
Not showing the correct daytime or night time screens. I'm told this was also sorted with the update. Yet to test.
When reading texts volume a lot lower that music level. This is now sorted.
Overall I think the system is very good. The only gripe I really have is not being able to use the vehicle radio as well as using the Carplay system. If you have the vehicle radio on then you get no sound from the Roadtop unit but I guess all these system are the same with this. I have noticed that since the update if I put BBC sounds on it reconnects and plays every time I get in the car which is as good as it going to get I guess.

Thanks for that input. Very useful. Just trying to avoid moving from one set of problems to another. For my needs, 40-50 seconds to reconnect is unacceptable. It happens with the joyeauto unit as well. I very often am rushing and I need carplay navigation to work instantly.
If it works instantly with the wired lightning cable, I’d be good with that.
Given the limitations I think I need to be looking at something else. I was looking at 10 or 12 inch android screens but I’m seeing folks having issues with those as well.

Be carefull there are 2 HW versions of road top BENZ and BENZ2 , if you crossflash between them can brick the unit.
Now i have a BENZ2 unit but i bricked my old BENZ unit flashing a wrong mcu version from a BENZ2 unit.

I was on to Roadtop customer services through WhatsApp only 3 days ago and was given 20.4.22.16 as the latest version for the Benz hardware. Is the one you have a later firmware? My left steering wheel buttons still affects the Carplay unit.

hello i have the same one but the seller doesn't send me installation guide and i try several time to reach to him so any one have the same module can help me and send the instructions guide also the frimwear update from where can i get it

For cust v2.1.1.2.ltm4_2 i dont have the file because the link sent to me the seller has expired and i didnt save the file.
You can also ask to the seller if there are newer files for cust and mcu if you tell him you are having problems with sound and later share it with us ,
