E63 exhaust compatible with E550?

Hey fellas i was wondering if the aftermarket downpipes out for an E63 would work on a E550 4matic , would it bolt to the bridgepipe going to the turbo ? or does it have different size flange ? There are not to many options for the M278 but a handfull for the M157. This question might have been answered somewhere here on the board but im ready to buy one asap once its confirmed .

after 2013, facelift might fit. hangers location might be different.

what are you trying to achieve ? AMG sound ? or your own sound ?

Not to hijack this thread, but I have a 14 E550 and have been thinking about putting E63 mufflers on it (no downpipes). Any thoughts on how that would fit and/or how it would sound? I'm looking for a slightly throatier sound, but not obnoxious or droaning.

I did a muffler delete and replaced with straight pipe to amg tips and it is perfect. Not obnoxious loud and minimal drone, the resonator in the center controls the majority of the drone so I would leave it if you don't want much drone.

Question, is your E550 with bi turbo ? if not, its day and night difference.

No not the biturbo it's the NA so yes you are right it is probably louder than it would be on the bi.
