Our dealer just noticed a leak coming from the front differential on my wife's 2012 E350 4matic (has only 60K miles). It appears to be a major repair. Has anyone else experienced this issue with the front differential seals?
Would appreciate your thoughts...

The seal itself is cheap, just all the labor to get at it.

 

Just did this on my car. Indy did it, took a little over 2 hours. About a little over .6 quarts of fluid came out. Maybe that's why it was seeping, overfilled by the factory or the previous owner had it done and was overfilled. I wonder if the draining the fluid and refilling with the correct amount would work?

 

My wife's E350 had this (48K miles), sorry no idea on costs as it was covered under warranty.
