replaced mine
Thanks for the helpful hints guys.
I took GuestFromTampa’s advice and I purchased one of these https://www.spectreperformance.com/8...-duct-hose-kit (from Amazon though)
It looks like belarus27 and Davery went the same route.
I really like the set rediesel posted, but if I had an extra $4K, it would probably go into bigger turbos and a tune
There’s more than enough duct hose for two inlets, but you need the couplers to mate the duct hose to the MB adapters. I emailed the company to see if I can purchase the couplers separately so I can do the other side, otherwise I’ll order another kit.
You can see that the original duct is torn up (not sure why it’s just the right side; left side is fine)
The OEM duct is glued into the MB adapters, so you’ll need to pry/pull/cut it off. The couplers in the spectre kit will fit into both adapters well. I didn’t glue them in, but you could do that. I just pressed them into place.
I cut the supplied duct hose in half, since there’s much more than enough. I don’t know if my OCD will let me leave this as is (two little funky bends in the hose). I may cut the duct in half again.
Anyway, for anyone else needing a solution, this seems to work fine
