I'm guessing this is normal?

Yes.....I have never had a car that did not streak after rain....everything that gets rained on will streak some, including siding on your house and gutters. Just everything.....

I think this is normal. The horizontal surface area above the keyhole is larger than the surface area forward. So the rain water will collect there and eventally streak down. Not a problem I would worry about.

2014 E550-sold 😩
I think the MB techs will spray a lubricant in the door handle mechanism which contributes to those streaks. The rocker area between the doors always streaks out the dirt. Always..

So the black streaks are normal, should have clarified that originally. Thanks!

On the other hand worst case scenario door handle pads may need replacement or simply cleaned. Replacement should be covered if still under warranty, no warranty DIY (213 shown, relatively same for 212):

Totally normal. I have it on mine just from washing the car. After hand car wash I have to go back the next day and rub out the marks
