2012 M276 Intake valve Cleaning 100k+ Miles
I decided to change the intake filter and saw some oil at the elbow of the intake, then I decided to take off the manifold for inspection. I don't think the intake valves were bad after 100k miles. The whole process took about 15-20 min.
What is the best way to clean the intakes? See pic

Save your money. They don't do anything. I had one on my Audi and had to carbon clean the valves AGAIN after only 10k. I took it off and threw it away.

I can't say I agree entirely. There are many success stories out there. People have been draining these cans with junk inside. Maybe the m276 is better at oil separation (centrifuge pvc) after 100k miles. I can just leave things the way they are right now and not worried about it because I would most likely sell the car before it becomes a problem.

Agreed with the above. The M276 does not really have the carbon issues. Every now and then we see a post, but certainly nothing like the Audi/BMW stuff. I’m not worried about mine at all.
