W212 sport steering wheel replacement
Hi everyone,I am new to this as I have just agreed to by my first Mercedes 2011 E class 350 convertible. The car has just about every possible option but I really don't like the all black steering wheel. My question is are all Mercedes steering wheels the same fitment. I have found many for sale and they all look the same but before buying I just thought I would as for some input on the subject.

Hi thanks for your reply. This was more of a generic question really as I haven't picked the car up yet. From what i have read it seems like it is possible I just wondered how simple a change it could be or does it always need the chip altering. The wheel on the car is an all black affair I was after the AMG flat bottom look alike with the silver y shape.

As long as they are the same series wheel(same design/generation/controls/airbag) you can swap easily. I'm sure others will fit, but it may require modifications(and the proper airbag...). I have the flat bottom silver "Sport" wheel. Just FYI, my silver trim was peeling on my wheel, so I bought a replacement and installed it. If yours comes with the same wheel, but black trim, you can just swap out that one piece for a lot less money than replacing the whole wheel. I think it was around $100 for the piece.

The wheel on the car is all black with big round buttons on the wheel with a one piece buttons and airbag. The one I would love to change it to is the silver y shape with square buttons and separate airbag. They changed the shade mid 2011in the UK so mine is an early 2011 and very different. I will try to post some pictures after I collect it on Friday but thanks for your input its much appreciated.

If you want an upgraded wheel (looks and functionality) I would hit up Revocarbon tech on instagram. I've bought my wheels from him and the quality is insane. His instagram is https://www.instagram.com/revotechmotorsports/?hl=en.
Tell him the Bosnian with the white Mercedes near him sent you, and he'll hook you up with whatever you like. He also has a bunch of pictures on his insta.
