Here’s a video that i made showing the capabilities of ILS, unfortunately we haven’t been able to disable the amber marker lights fully. haha my friend was driving he was pretty amazed. On the navigation you can also see the speed limit assist.
For now, that is it. Maybe someone else can try to activate adaptive brake lights? To be honest, it’s something that’s rarely going to be used. and pretty bad if you see a cop and you’re speeding. but it is also a great safety aspect for a sudden hazard
Speed Limit Assist (SLA) or Traffic Sign Assist (TSA) has been functioning quite well and hasn’t been relying on map speed limit data that much, from my experience it has been working with the camera and map data to find what is best. It’s been working even if the speed limit sign is on the right and you’re on the very left lane as well on a 3 lane road surprisingly. Also i’ve been finding that it doesn’t work too well with speeds over 70-80km/h as the camera can’t read the sign that fast.
The cluster flashes what the speed limit is for a few seconds and then goes back to what was on the screen. The photo below doesn’t show it. but i’ll try to take a photo when it does pop up.
hehe first in North America for a W212

I was wondering also, because my center gauge cluster is different, but I have blind spot, attention assist and lane keep, plus park assist, my car will shut down the cruise control if I get too close to the car in front.
Maybe I'm confusing distronic with night vision, definitely don't have that.

I have been reading this thread and I love the feature...
I want this feature...
Dayum it is a cool feature....
but then I look at the window sticker from my 2015 E400:
Code 319 Fancy LED HEadlight blah blah lighting package $1500
DAYUM I say... $1500 for headlights that turn on high beam by themselves and swivel left and right as I turn steering wheel.
The wifes 2014 Volvo does that for few like $250 they are not LED but...really they do the same thing...
So Vlad in his computer lab figures out how to turn the feature on... and charges a for it and his OBD Dongle - Good For him...
Capitalism at is greatest - man sees a problem and finds solution and charges for it...
But I ask myself why did not MB in all their power and corporate lawyers and regulatory peeps just ask the USA DOT for a WAIVER or whatever paperwork they needed to be allowed to turn this feature on that they pretty much already charged peeps for and DOT might like this feature as it helps prevent accidents and reduce road deaths or something bean counters could really count.
but to Quote John Belushi: "" But NOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"
We get crap in USA and have to cheat to get a cool feature already sitting in the car just waiting for some smart guy to turn on....
Done Ranting....Off my soap box..
back to your thread..
I am too much of a cheapskate to pay that much for sthe ON/OFF button to something already in my car.
Unless 2015 do not have this then quote Roseanna Danna " NEVER MIND"

It’s worth the cost. Yes it sucks that the US regulations won’t allow it to just come that way. But it is a very noticeable improvement in nighttime visibility.

I agree, what a great option and improvement, I also agree it should have came that way. but I do also find it pricey, everyone has their own cost/benefit analysis.

I was a little surprised at the initial price. But after the first drive I find it unequivocally worth it.

Speed Limit Assist Update
managed to get a photo, after testing for a few days, i have noticed speed limit assist only works when the area is dark. I’m guessing this is because this is the only time there is a great amount of contrast, as signs in europe have a red outline compared to ours.
It doesn’t really matter what speed your at, you could be in the left lane on the highway and it can read a sign on the far right, but what tends to get read more easily is the on ramp speed limit signs and construction speed limit signs

Finally got to drive at night and wow ILS does really make a difference. Amazing how the signs on the highway get illuminated without blinding the vehicles in front of me. Worth the investment.
