I'm not sure I could power an amp off that honestly, but it does have a 12v socket back there
These outlets usually have quite high amp fuses like 30A I have seen in some cars. If it is 30A it can carry 360W power. If your amplifier takes more than this then it is not strong enough.
That picture looks exactly like my car for model and colors, which is 2010 E550 with the main battery in the trunk. My car, I think, actually is a 2009 model as this car was in Europe already in 2009. My car was made in May 2009 so it probably is just that, which explains the battery in the trunk.
has been by far the best car so far that I ever owned unless the 2013 S550 proves better, which I doubt.
I knew there is a primary and aux battery, I just thought there was a battery in the trunk for the air suspension.
Kinda sucks because I am installing a amp and sub and I really don't want to run a power wire the length of the car
The trunk battery is for ECO stop, who come with 2014 models.
You have small battery in dash for electric gear shifting backup.
Even you'd have trunk battery, I would not hook up powerful amplifier to it.
That battery is backup or emergency battery with special charging program, so hooking up additional power draw to it has potential for lot of mess.
But my 2014 model has small electric panel in the trunk, that runs of main battery. I wonder if you might have it as well?
If not, run heavy wire from main battery - starting with fuse.

I tried tapping into the 12v outlet, unfortunately it blew the fuse after a few min.
So I soldered a 10 gauge wire onto rear fuse box main feed, ran it to a circuit breaker, then to a 1 farad capacitor, then to a 360watt mono block, powering a 10" ported sub. Wired RCA's into the factory amp. Tested it so far for about an HR and it's working great.

Thanks for the insight man! I ended up soldering a wire onto the rear fuse boxes main feed, seems to work great so far

Yes I do, and I'm about to order some
Ordering these wheels pictured below as soon as I decide on color (black and polished or grey and polished), then carbon front lip, carbon trunk duck bill, carbon rear bumper accents etc
