2014-E350 Static coming out of speakers even when car is off
Static noise started coming out of the speakers on my 2014 E350 even when the car is off. Disconnected car battery for 30 minutes, noise stopped while disconnected, reconnected and static comes back. Does anyone know what might be the problem? This is my daughter's driver while in school and I don't want to dump a bunch of money into it. ;-) Thanks for any ideas

I've seen posts that it could be the amp so I ordered a used amp from an auto-recycler. Looks easy enough to switch out back in the trunk. Hopefully that's what the problem is. Looks like this amp (Harman/Becker) is pretty much used in every MB model. Finally found a website with a grid to match out options from the build and determine compatible part numbers. Should know next week if it helps.

Sound Amplifier, usually you’ll have more than 1 bad speaker if sound amp is not ok. Pull f67 at rear fuse panel, trunk right side for about 15 minutes in an attempt to reset. Definitive diagnose have someone with MB diagnostics pull fault codes before replacing parts. Reluctant to do so, post VIN for correct part #.

We already swapped out the amp and still here the noise. Didn't think about it frying a speaker. MB is pulling diag codes today. Will see what they say. Hope we only need a speaker or 2 at this point. Thanks for the great response.

we've confirmed now with MB rear speaker needs to be replaced (212-820-35-02). I've ordered one from an auto recycler. Has any one replaced a rear shelf speaker in a 2014 E350? Any steps that would save time? Thanks

on many w212's there's TWO amps, one for most of the speakers and one just for the rear subwoofer. only in like 2015 or 2016 did they go to a single amp for all of them.
