2012 e350 Front seat anchors

Anyone know how to remove the driver’s side seat cushion on a 2012 E350 and what the seat anchors should be torqued to? Looks like the seat has to be tilted back to remove the storage bin attached to the front of the seat.

The bin can be removed easily, just slide the seat back and there's two torx screws securing it at the top to the seat frame. The lower cushion can come out without removing the seat. What are you trying to do? I know there's a procedure around, search for seat cushion tear/removal.

Replacing split front seat cushion cover

Thanks for the info. I’m replacing the left driver’s side seat cushion cover. Do I need any special tools to do this?

I believe in there somewhere there is a reference to upholstery pliers to remove the seat cover from the frame.

Thanks for the continued info. It’s pretty easy on a 2012, once you’ve done it. The only wire going into the cushion is the seat heater. I’m having an issue trying to disconnect the small wire connector for the seat heater. Is there a special tool for this? It’s plugged into a junction box at the base of the front seat frame.

I am not able to address that particular connector, but some connectors have a sliding lock that you need to slide out first then remove the connector, IDK?

I have found that Benz connectors in general are difficult to separate????

I know which connector your referring to... I found it easier to first undo the black junction "connector" on the seat frame which all the harnesses tie into. It has a single lock (round pin) on top, when you depress you can slide the junction sideways to unlock it from the frame. Then the wire harnesses (two, sistered together, a black and a white) for the seat heater can be pulled out the junction. Once out, you simply pull the white and black connectors apart.

I think this video would be very helpful:

Like most projects, it’s easier to remove the cover then it is to install a new one. No special tools needed.

There’s a few threads regarding replacing the seat cushion... pretty common issue.

No need to cut anything. I’ve had the cushion out twice once to replace the side trim and another to install washer to fix slop in back seat.
