Any picture of your problem glovebox ?

bypass part order number ....
The pipe is likely symetrical and turned around for RHD/LHD.

If you open the parts schematic you just sent, there are two part numbers listed for #290. 8310145 and 8310045, so in fact there are two #290's listed.
So since you ordered # 8310145 and it's backwards, it's very likely you need # 8310045
