Interior wood trim on 2011 E550 seems to be fading. Looks like it is turning to a grayish clouding color. Any ideas of what may be causing this? Pictures included.

This is a known defect for some burled wood trim owners.

 

Polish it and stop parking in the sun.

 

It's lack of protective coating . Probably a clear protective film could cure for this but I have not tested it anything like that

 

Poor manufacturing. It's a known issue. Join the lawsuit and you may be able to get it replaced for a discount.

My E-350 is also experiencing fading. What in the world is happening?

Fading on the side Trim of both driver & passenger doors.

It's fading in mine, but I never notice it until I see threads on here about it.

Yes, I sure did join the lawsuit. I received my postcard this wknd. But now what? LOL

 

You sit and wait for the court to decide.

 

I too got a post card. But I sold my vehicle and never repaired the damage. If you go to the web site you can’t enter the claim. I have email now 3 times. They keep coming back put your Vin # to see if your eligible. This email I sent tonight was in BOLD letters asking again how to make a claim.
