2012 E550 how to remove driver side turbo coolant lines
Any help is appreciated.
Coolant lines going into the turbo.

I hope these can help
Rule 2, learn how the component are placed in/around the engine
Find your component here : https://catalogs.ssg.asia/mercedes/?lang=en#
Sometimes the diagram can give some sort of "overall" view.
Rule 3, get good photo of the component
And then you google the component P/N at ebay, used one or new, often the photos are very incredible and useful to visualize your repair plan.
Rule 4, let us enjoy your repair progress. Take lots of photos, share know-how here. Don't just run off to be happy yourself, we wanna be happy for you too

Thanks for the videos, you name it and I watched it so very familiar with the setup. Was curious around what others used to loosen that one bolt at the turbo. I did figure it out and just a slight turn was needed to loosen it. But then getting the lines to pop out of the turbo was another challenge.
The diy is all about having the right tools. Will post pictures below to help others out.
I do have one more task left... How best to get the lines out. I could break them but need to figure out best way to put back in so seeing how best to take it out first.
Small socket with a turn And long extension.
Used a screwdriver for the bottom to get enough space to put my prybar in.
Picture of first one out.
Had two setup to loosen the bolt. First option with the extension and turn worked out.
Not much room between the socket and the heat shield plate.

What a pain, starting with putting the new lines back in. Then took few hours to put the screw back in the turbo to connect both of the lines. Had to customize a socket by grinding it and that worked great along with the 8mm wrench to start the screw that goes into the turbo.
Not sure if I would ever do this project again
What I used to start few of the threads to get the bolt started.
Grinded the scoket for a bit more space.
Make sure to put a towel Incase you drop anything.

Next M276 3.0TT (mine) probably will have the same faith.
One of my turbo coolant lines has plastic on its end too.
The item 40 is where there is a plasctic end, A Tee actually.
For a 2 weeks now, I been and is still cataloging what I need to replace by 10th year, due my my fear of melting down the engine from loss of coolant and/or engine oil, caused by either plastic or rubber material failure.
Based on your experiences with M278 because it is turbocharged like the M276 3.0TT, what do you guys worry/anticipate most for such failures I too am fearing ?
M278 been around longer, so many has reached 10 years by now right ?.....and many valueable info for me.
Thanks guys....

My second line broke trying to take the first one out.
Mine is 2012 with 113k Miles so this was due to happen as it's very common. Didn't know that until it happened and did some research.
I did get the car running so the beast is alive again after being down for 5 Days. Mainly due to dealer closed on the holiday weekend.
Up next fix the rear air bag issue but that will have to wait few weeks.

Loss of coolant and engine oil alot and suddenly = bye bye engine
But yeah, could get very expensive.
I do it with mine everyday. When the car is in motion heat leaves pretty quickly (plus the fan), but off and stationary it can not be good for the plastics.
I even stick a fan to suck hot air out I think I showed my set up a while back.
I know I didn't remove the AC line so it's doable. Just takes time to try all different options.
