VVT Phasor
Oil control solenoid
This is camshaft adjuster magnet, I forgot the actual EPC name, is the one "pushing" the oil control solenoid to flow oil so that the VVT phasor can change timing by oil pressure management

leaky electricals 4 x [ solenoid + sensors ]
It's a real good idea while you're around there to change the 4 solenoids + 4 position sensors. This will complete your tune up by replacing weak parts.
They go bad like clock work and send engine oil into the harness by capillarity.
This triple timing chain design is amazing

I mean Mercedes Camshaft Solenoid Kit - Genuine Mercedes 2761560790 | FCP Euro and the price all four including seal and bolt not that crazy like camshaft adjuster OEM 276 050 5100 (last or 4th revision) 4 of them US 3k maybe just bought used engine take that 4 VVT. All 276 050 3600 (3rd revision) made in Europe all out of stock and this is indicated it sell like candy because many MB impacted even in low mileage start at 50k miles.
I also considering below
Mercedes Camshaft Position Sensor - Genuine Mercedes 2769051000 | FCP Euro it only around $50 OEM.

I see. those camshaft adjuster magnet likes to leak oil into its cable and into ecu. I already replaced mine, all 4, just in case only. 7 years old when replaced but only <30,000KM.
I use latest P/N ( revision probably )
My camshaft position sensors not replaced as it is still the current P/N.

Parts sourcing question...
All the combinations are valid choices with Pros & Cons. This choice is like financial investments: it depend what is your tolerance for risks...
The MB genuine VVT is make of soft steel that's easily scratched. This was shown in a video where the Canadian guy filled in the wear carved by the pin with weld. He then showed how the weld steel is many folds harder than stock.
I'd select the genuine China quality without the pretty OEM box markups. By the time you need to go back in the engine to work on the next set of VVT, you can inspect existings and pick a remanufactured kit of newer generation parts.
When you receive your parts do a basic Quality-Control, perhaps move the old VVT spring over to replacement unit to closely match the force necessary to actuate.

You right the last revision OEM around $750 is didn't make sense even 3rd revision around $400 also bit too much. So now my choice between part from China or not OEM but made in Germany between these two:
1. Uro Part made in germany for $662
Mercedes-Benz E350 4Matic Sedan 212.088 3.5L V6 Camshaft Adjuster Kit (rmeuropean.com)
2. A2760503600 A2760503700 New Left And Right Intake Camshaft Adjuster Set For Benz A205 C205 S205 CLS Shooting Brake E 400 4 matic| | - AliExpress $317
Exhaust Camshaft Adjuster Set Left And Right For Benz AMG C 43 4 matic CLS 400 CLS Shooting Brake E 320 2760501800 2760503900| | - AliExpress $317
It almost same price around $630 for all four VVT.
Should I choose Ura Part made in Germany instead of the made in China?

I am back to mobil one from I forgot exact name moly oil and it didn't rattle often. so I didn't change yet
#37
I've read about every thread I can find concerning the issue, and every comment on every video, and I have yet to read anyone say what you just said.
Could you please share for all those with this horrible issue exactly what oil brand and weight you're using that stopped the startup rattle? I'm not sure what Moly oil is either, please advise.
And you're sure it was the common startup rattle from the camshaft adjuster like you bought? Guess you can't be sure if you didn't tear it apart, and I wouldn't either if the oil solve the problem. Did Yu ever take off the cover rotate the engine and see it skip to identify which one you need? I haven't with mine but I think I can hear its driver side and everyone says the intake goes first I believe.
You know that one will fit though? I'm curious about how Mercedes updates their parts and changes the numbers and such. Sure would save a lot of money to be able to put in the one you bought.
Thank you

How do you know the Uro is actually made in Germany and not just a German brand or China made and put into a box in Germany?
Maybe I just missed it? We have to be so careful these days!

From what I can determine, URO Parts are made in the US. A.P.A. Industries out of Simi Valley, California manufactures and distributes their URO Parts product line. FCP Euro carries URO parts for some items, which is a litmus test I will use when questioning the quality of a product. In this case, FCP does not carry the URO brand camshaft adjusters. However, ECS Tuning and RMeuropean do. When contemplating parts from well-known European car parts sites, I would go with a US-based company over AliExpress for critical components.

I did a little more digging on URO. While the headquarters are in the U.S., the parts are made worldwide. But it definitely helps that at least there's some oversight in the U.S. I don't have an issue with parts made in some parts of the world, but the quality of materials and construction (basically, QC) has to be there and the company has to stand behind the product. I've had OE and OEM parts and M-B boxed parts with all kinds of countries of manufacture. In the case of M-B, a lot of them from Eastern Europe. Maybe that's why M-B isn't what they were back in the 90's and earlier.
I've used URO parts before, just not for such crucial items as timing system components. I like the fact that FCP Euro carries them, and also Rockauto (although they carry economy, regular and premium brands so you have to pick wisely).
Last place I usually check is Ebay.de when everyone else is expensive. Have found some good deals on name brand parts, even after shipping costs. Had a manual transmission B-Class and some parts were hard to find, especially since it wasn't sold in the U.S. (officially).
