Put tarp over my ride after washing and filling it up with gas. Also did it to 2 other rides I have. 2 of my rides have never been out in the snow. Never use these cars in winter so from November 1 to April 1 they are covered up in garage. Go out once a month and run them and use battery tender if needed. I save about $1600 in insurance for the time I store them. I have 2 other rides that I use during the winter. Out of all the cars I own the E350 2014 Mercedes is the best car I have ever owned. It should last me until I am dead. Only has 13,000 miles on it after 9 years of use. Vacation car that gets 36 MPG going to myrtle beach and back. Not bad for a 6 cylinder car.

powerless in a good way

Do you disconnect both main + aux batteries before storing your E350?

Before you lock the doors and trunk, check the locks for your emergency stubby key still work as expected.

never disconnect anything. I just monitor it once a month and start it up and run it for about 15 minutes.

Besides , don't forget to turn on A/C when you start it up and run it for a few minutes .I have read many articles about A/C and all of them mentioned similar things in regard to turning it on in certain periods.
I appreciate you're preserving your car but cars are meant to be driven to me
Enjoy it

W212 remember all the settings, even garage opener, so it is very safe to just disconnect the batteries.
I understand they are under tarps in the garage, so wind will not flap the tarp to rub the paint off? But did you secure the metal eyes on the tarp? I prefer designated car covers for the dust, or just keep them without cover and get "California duster".
Disconnected batteries are good for up to 6 months, but if you plan to keep them longer that way, get battery maintainer.

When I say tarp I mean a soft cloth fitted cover for the E350 that wraps around like a glove. Even has built in covers for the side mirrors. sorry that i did not explain what type of tarp.

always use the aoooogah horn. The guys in shop when being serviced use it also. They are amazed with it. Hope you are doing well and staying healthy. Cannot get wife to go out of state for a few months. So I am stuck here. Still putter around house. The neighbors call me the old guy with the tools.
