Don't know if I stated it correctly, but at least I've not had to manually adjust the time...

I remember trying to diagnose an electrical issue and I had disconnected the battery while the car was in underground parking, and after reconnecting it, the date/time on the car were reset to 1 Jan 2017 00:00. Couldn't figure out how to set it manually through COMAND.
I guess there was no GPS signal 2 levels below because once I drove out of underground parking, I heard a whining noise and saw the clock between the AC vents automatically setting itself to the right time.

started and ran it for about an hour. brought it discount auto and had them test it. the alternator showed good voltage and the battery checked out good. they suggested putting a trickle charge on the battery over night and then bringing it back for further diagnosis they felt that the trickle charge would correct the problem.
i will see what the diagnosis is tomorrow. hopefully the battery and alternator will check out good and i won't have to buy a new battery.
any input, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thank you, biker
