2011 Mercedes E350 Maintenance Question - need advice
I bought my car as preowned in 2014 at 32k miles. Fast forward to 2023 my car now has appox 138k miles and to be quite honest, the only maintenance I performed on the car was regular oil changes, brakes and tires. Generally speaking the car runs fine, but I have a feeling I should have been performing other devices activities. The work done above was not done at a MB dealership.
I do want to keep the car and would like to service it now to ensure that anything should have taken care of is done. Other than just walking into a dealership and asking to take a look, what advice do you have on what should have been done?
I know I should have maintaining it regularly so please don’t flame me

Would say just about any/all preventative maintenance. Change all the fluids ecpsecially the trans and diffs, brake fluids, check brakes, maybe engine and tranny mounts, maybe shocks, belt and pulleys. Biggest thing is all the fluids, they wont always tell ya its time until its too late.

Nice to hear your car performs well , as far I know every 100K miles timing chain and related items needs to be replaced as well .

spark plug and boots
engine coolant
CPS leaking oil into harness ?
complete Belt kit
PCV Kit with plastic lines
Engine & cabin air filters
Valeo OEM Voltage regulator
buy an iCarsoft scanner and get familiar with car errors codes.
When buying parts consider the OEM quality is often the best. Look alikes copies and rejects are often not worth your time.
The automotive supply chain is loaded with attractivejunk opportunities!

Timing chain failure/replacement isn't common the M272. It can happen, but it's not too often, only replace it when getting error codes.
In addition to the fluids mentioned, probably the intake manifold going is next. At least change the oil separator on the passenger side along with the breather cover and check the 3 plugs at the back of the engine for leaks. Other leaks would be from the oil cooler/coolant gaskets by the oil filter, the tensioners/pulleys and the thermostat. Then there's the usual stuff to check, ball joints, tie rods, spring/struts/shocks, motor mounts, rusting rear subframe.

This is great advice guys!!! Next question. I am not changing these myself and I am not looking to throw a ton of money into the car. Do I take it to MB or have a local firestone/similar type shop manage?
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

2008 E350 (W211 @170K), 2012 ML350 (W166 @119K), 2014 E350 (W212 @100K), 2015 ML350 (W166 @96K)
Please find an independent honest MB specialist. If you go to the dealer with a 12-year-old car, you may as well buy a spare car with the money they will request.

Attached MB time elapsed/mileage maintenance sheet. As mentioned, find an independent preferably using Xentry (MB diagnostics).

Have you tried some of the sites out there that will quote you a price online? I'd check the yelp reviews after you find a shop with a decent price.

https://app.openbay.com/

Also throw in 2 upstream oxygen sensors. After 100k, they're probably slow if not shot. No need to do the downstream. Also shop the usual sites, rockauto.com, FCPEuro, Amazon, etc.

It's in the title of his first post/tread, it's a 2011 E350 so that's the M272. I suppose we're making assumptions that he's in the US and that it's not a CDI as that wasn't mentioned.

Your in Cali I assume which they hate diesels down there (atleast the gov does). I see a decent amount of them up north although usually the 6cyl. My E250 diesel is a rare hen for sure, but alot of the e350s e320s some suv types and some wagons are around in my area.
