Lag in downshift after changing auxiliary battery

Hello
i have mercedes w212 350 2015
i bought the car with 79000 miles, the dealer changed the auxiliary battery and installed an incompatible one. The eco mode feature wasn’t always available (it shows sometimes and other times it doesn’t show on the dashboard screen, although the light is always green on the button). I suspected it is the auxiliary battery and changed it to a genuine mercedes benz battery, after which i noticed lag in gear downshifts. Is it normal and just needs adaptation or it might be something serious?
- no check engine light or anything else showing on the dashboard
- oil stick indicates good oil level, as per the records i can drive around 1500 more miles before service.

Should not have accepted incompatible battery. Not sure battery caused this but if you had dealer install correct battery they would have to diagnose inclusive of pulling codes.

For your facelift 2015 with Keyless Go, try this procedure...

With the Keyless Go button inserted:

1) foot off the brake during the whole procedure
2) press the Keyless Go Start button once
3) press the accelerator to the floor and hold for 5 seconds
4) press the Keyless Go Start button twice to turn off the ignition
5) release the gas pedal
6) Wait at least two minutes before starting the car.

You need to get a scanner who will show you all parameters ECO is using.
Troubleshooting those cars from coffee grinds has very low success rate.

Missing ECO: sign of electricals...

> WHY:
It's a good idea you go after getting ECO ready again.

Using "ECO Stop" is not really engine friendly but not having "ECO:green" flag is a sign something's not right - So fixing this is a low priority but guaranteed improvement under $500 when DIY'ed.

> WHAT:
-- The top offender is main battery calling attention. It may be old, discharged or not charged well.

-- Get a scanner to read your car faults so you can improve your ownership affordably.

-- Your local dealer will fix that under $1,000.USD hopefully with a genuine OEM battery 90% of the time without searching for any root cause.
