Do I need xentry after starter change?

E300 Hybrid. Start stop stopped work. In E mode after he went electric was not coming back to gasoline. On S mode as he was all time on the motor it was fine. After research I found service book tells to change starter if such symptoms occur as if start count was reached. I changed the starter myself, was an awful job, as you needed to drop gearbox, not nice when you do it on 2 jacks.

Anyway, after I fitted new starter, it still doesn't come back to motor when he goes electric. Do I need to reset this counter through xentry?

Sorry to read that a bad starter was not causing your situation. I have not seen a lot of documents to help troubleshoot your particular hybrid. Tons of docs are served by WIS library based on your specific VIN.

One particular detail is causing this, which is it?

Look in the direction of voltage management for hybrids.
🤞

You might be the 1 "breaking the ice" with hybrid, but general knowledge is that only parts equipped with electronic modules require pairing and/or SCN coding.
Is the starter having electronic module in it?
As far as I know, traditional starters don't
